Thank you so much for this video. I was having such a hard time trying to install the software and your video really helped me out. The only thing I had to do differently was not give the printer a nickname. When I give it a nickname the software would not move forward when I clicked ok and apply. Once I removed the nickname I was able to click ok and apply and the software moved forward with the installation. Thank again…you are the best!!

So thankful for these Roland Tutorials and looking forward to more. I’ve been on the fence since October and have been doing my due diligence. My very last concern is I’m not able to find a clear answer if the Roland cuts through to make die-cuts. Information says the machine can but I’ve yet to find a photo of BN20a die-cuts. Is this something you might know?

Yes it can using the Perf Cut feature where it would mostly cut through the die or sticker and use just a small tab to hold the cut in place until it's finished cutting. Then you can pop the die out.

Great video!! Does the cable that connects to the computer have to be used at all times when printing? Is this a Bluetooth capable machine? Unfortunately, my printer is too far from my computer to keep it plugged in unless I roll the printer closer which I would rather not do. I can look into ordering a longer cable but want to be sure to buy the correct one.

Yes you need to stay connected by USB while printing. The BN20A (or BN20) does not have a Bluetooth connection.

Hi! I see the two bundles you are looking at. They all include VersaWorks which is the software. I think they just threw that word into the title of the product. That being said that bundle is the basic out of the box machine and does not include the inks which are needed. I would at the very least get the bundle that includes the inks. It has a hand for sure...b/c it's a transfer on top of the shirt rather than sublimation which has no hand. It feels like HTV b/c that's really what it is. The feel though depends on the material you use and there are many options.

Hi, I have just installed all of the software, and now at the stage where I turn the printer on and then connect it to the computer with the usb, the installation guide says to press the power button on the front and once it changes from flashing to steady then insert the usb. Mine is still flashing and beeping (no mention of beeping in Rolands guide) do you know if I can proceed to put the usb in, even though it is flashing and beeping?

Make sue the media clamp is forward and the lid closed and that should hopefully stop the beeping

I know this response is very late but, just in case anyone else is having this problem. The fix is to just wait. When your warranty hasn't processed it will keep looping that same page. I started mine on Saturday and when I came back to my shop on Monday, it was ready to go.
