they had one of these roland f140r's in my music school studio and i was blown away by it. i've sinced played kurzweils, korgs, and yamahas in the same series[that cost a lot more than 1200+] and the roland ran circles around all of them in sound and playing feel. 1200+ bucks is a lot of money to spend but, these pianos are easily worth twice that in the value they bring.

Ive been a professional musician all my life and played $50k Steinways and $5k+ professional stage pianos like Kawai, Korg Kronos, etc. For the small footprint, realistic playability and sonic quality and realistic sound these Rolands have, they are actually underpriced at $1250 or whatever they ask for them.

What a WONDERFUL digital piano! Top of the line in every sense. Wish I could get one for my son to learn on. But spending $1300.00 is just not in the cards right now... :(

No kidding. I search high and low for these Roland F-140's every dang week online. The *minute* I find a nice condition one that's even a *penny* under $1000.00, I'm literally jumping on it, even if it means taking out a loan and driving 1000 miles to pick it up. These pianos are just that good. Will likely hold their value for a long time, to boot.

yo, I've been trying a ton of different pianos in this price range, don't get the c1, the Grand piano and action isnt that great. This model is superior to the Roland rp 102 and I think that one was superior in those both aspects. The korg e-pianos might be a bit better, but the RP 102 was still fine. If you can afford the G1 I think that on is worth the price gap vs the C1

@shane foller Ah,, GOOD LUCK finding one for under $1000USD mate, unless it's totally knackered or overused. In UK, people will buy these F-140r pianos for 1200€ or MORE..USED...which is like $1350USD(more than what they cost Stateside NEW). There is a shortage of them here and other digital pianos don't measure up so, the market for them is insane. I'll stick with my slaggy Casio Privia, until I can find a F-140r for under 1000€. Gonna be waiting a bloody bit though.
