Well, some people live in apartments, so they can't really sing or play any instrument that doesn't have headphone jack. So, for me, living in an apartment, Roland is the only option as far as accordions go. Think about it, electric guitar plugs in (the banjo-like unamplified electric guitar can be easily muted with shut door), wind controllers plug in, electronic drums plug in, and now finally accordion, thanks to Roland. Acoustic piano? Saxophone? Singing? Impossible in an apartment.

Lol... I live in a house and wouldn’t dare pick up my trombone!!! Lol. Sooo very grateful for my Rolands. (I can still get the trombone sound but that particular fun is gone!!😂😂!!) visualizing a herd of petrified bunnies listening to a trombone HAS BEEN in a panic!!! No thanks.

I understand what people are saying. It's different for every artist. I personally am able to emotionally connect more through acoustic instruments when I'm writing my music

It’s all a matter of preference/choice, comfort level and teaching/learning capabilities and sensitivity. Then mix em all together!!👍✝️💟🤗i personally wouldn’t make a pimple on a musicians backside but I’m loving the process of learning!! If I could play the accordion as well as I played the trombone I’d be over the moon type happy!!

Ikutaro Kakehashi had a different dream, which he finally was able to achieve with V-Accordion. V-Accordion is a beautifully craftet instrument in Italy, with great attention to detail, beautiful looks, and all, and the fact that it doesn't have reads only makes it more flexible to obtain sounds of many different accordion types in one instrument, and it also takes care of tunning and reed maintenance issues. I never liked accordion, but V-Accorion I may actually buy. Think about it.

Купил roland fr-1х, из минусов для себя обнаружил: 1. Нельзя совместить звучание левой и правой клавиатуры из разных тембров, например: лев. тембра 11 + прав. тембра 34. 2. Нельзя одновременно (в режиме Dual) запустить ВСТРОЕННЫЙ звук аккордеона и ЗАГРУЖЕННЫЙ оркестровый звук, например: тембр 34 + [ORCHESTRA]-->U1, загруженный с флешки. 3. Нельзя снять звук с разъема PHONE, чтобы не выключились динамики.

So, as far as the sound capability, does FR-1x has less sounds than FR-3x/7x? Or they are all able to produce the same sounds, and the only difference is less buttons and less keys on FR-1x?

Roland accordions are good for instrumental music. However, as a singer as well as an accordionist, I have found that reedless accordions in general do not have enough expressiveness to accompany my singing. The Roland is no exception. Hopefully this will change as the technology advances but in the meantime I have sold my Roland.

As a very new FR1 x Roland user, I am enjoying it very much but programming can be very confusing. I was wondering if you tell me if there is a good Steel Guitar sound on the 1X, it seems like a lot of the guitar sounds I found had very low volume even when set at the top volume. I like the sounds coming from the Roland, but, not being an accordion player, I'd like to find an electronic accordion similar to the cheap Yamaha keyboards that feature built-in bass-chord-rhythm accompaniments. Does anybody know if such an instrument even exists?

Only one person can add or subtract emotion from the music and that would be YOU....the musician!! Emotion is NOT created by the instrument alone....only you can add the emotion!! The instrument follows YOUR orders!!👍✝️💟🤗 i definitely have a lot of work ahead of me to add the emotion to MY music.
