I have a Yamaha P35. Its very good, but also there is pro and cons having it. The yamaha p35 has very few piano preset, but then i have to rely on vst to have different and special piano sounds, its also heavy and carrying it for traveling is out of the question. Now, the good thing about this Roland Go piano is, It has very good piano preset, like a lot, you don't have to rely on a computer to have it, you can carry this thing outdoor and play it with batteries for its good quality sounds, people complain a lot about this piano not having weighted keys. See, this is the main point here, having weighted keys, could only make this keyboard heavier. Think about it. Btw, RGTV, i have subscribe to you guys very long time, since the baby grand demo, to yamaha p95. to casio PX5s, and this, very very good demo. =D

The soud is very soft as a piano...a good quality for an entry level i. Comparison for the entry level of casio and yamaha...i will prefer this one instead of psr series ,gsx and casio

I'm really thinking about getting one but I'm concerned about the quality of the built in speakers. Yeah I have headphones but still I want to get a reasonably good sounding system if I buy a compact keyboard

From a portable keyboard you can't expect speakers with performance than an Hi-Fi system or studio monitors: in the GO: PIANO the speakers have enough volume to spread the sound in a medium room, maybe even disturbing the neighbors, while the quality is similar compared to competing keyboards... What does it mean? Even Piaggero has a Phones / Line Out on stereo Jack: it's the standard equipment in these instruments (in "mini" or 6.3mm format), which not compared with "pro" synths. Besides, have you ever done a test on these connections? Noticeable differences between a minijack terminal and those considered "pro" on a 6.3mm Jack? Believe me, there aren't. The "pro" connections are those in TRS or balanced XLR jack format: how many Synth / Digital Piano do they integrate? Only the top of the range ... ps. the Micro USB socket is only used for the possible exchange of data with the internal memory (this is the reason why there is no classic USB port, so you don't wrong). How have you recorded the audio of the go piano? Have you used a 3,5 mm stereo cable to two 6,3 mm mono instrument cables or simply a 3,5mm stereo to another 3,5mm stereo cable? Which Audio Interface have you used? Why there is no white noise from the headphone output? Thank you :)

The headphone output can be used as a Line Out, so if you adjust the audio levels correctly, you will not hear white noise. I did'nt use an audio interface, but a simple hardware recorder. R.Gerbi

Dear Gerbi, I tried this model on the store and the sound is not the same I'm hearing on this demo, even connected to a very good headphones. Then I tried it through my Macbook pro with Pianoteq 6 and I can get many different piano sounds but the quality sound is still like a toy. I see many piano demos on youtube even from cheap keyboards and the sound is quite good. How do you record it? In fact, I just like a portable piano to practice on my travels with headphones but with acceptable sound. Any advice? Thank you in advance.

ALL the demos published on the RGTV page are recorded with Audio FLAT: there's no plugin or other effect on the audio signal. You can't compare the sound of GO:Piano with Virtual Instrument such as Pianoteq or the Komplete suite: it's like comparing a small car with a Mercedes ... (IMHO) The sound of Go:Piano is worth much more than it's price: it may not please for matters of sound or other reasons (interface, keyboard, etc.) absolutely subjective. R.Gerbi

Go:keys то же самое + куча дополнительных функций. Единственно из нужного нет кнопок транспонирования клавиатуры на октаву. Доступно только из меню. Ну и цена у них одинаковая :)
