You are a Godsend. I've only just started my journey and have learned more watching this than any of the other dozen vids and certainly more than the user guide. Your video should be on a disc packed in every box that goes out of the factory. Well done mate!

This unit has all Roland drum machine sounds from their history (over 450) Plus you can modify each one individually with effects ! THIS UNIT CAN BE YOUR DRUM MACHINE FOR EVERYTHING !! The sequencer can be up to 12 bars (watch the Diaz from Roland videos) and slow tempo down. 2 digital and one analog synth along with drums each have their own channel. Each modifiable with surface knobs and much much more in the menu !! You can step sequence or loop on the fly !! You can chain your sequencer/loops together live by pressing the next one if put in favorites

It's been out for awhile but I just picked one up after looking into one for a long time. I love it overall and have made some great songs so far. A few complaints like not being able to output to a DAW individual drum sounds for recording, you get the whole kit, and a ADSR not being on the front panel. But so far that's about it. great little synth!

Great tutorials! I look st other mini synths too, but I find none other that offers as much. And this synth is so logical!! Just up and running, creating sequences in no time st all!! Just what I need. Just hope I will like the mini keys. I have quite small hands i think so it should be ok.

These videos are so good, this guy needs to do the boutique vids, and I'd like to see him do the 500 series and aira effects (bitrazer, demora) etc. these animations of the Lfo, envelopes etc make the comple ideas really easy and clear to follow even though it's fast... Great job! I'm actually reconsidering, especially since the Red one came out at Store DJ.

I would like to see a Wave Display.. a display that shows the wave, e.g. sine wave, square, sawtooth etc etc.. then when you start manipulating the sound/sound wave you can see wave changing while being sculpted.. just like on the EA-7 keyboard.. but made smaller like one currently on djxi.. two of them in both corners.. or somewhere easy to see..

I love this synth, but I would like to use regular sized keys. How can I use an external keyboard with the JDXI. If I plug an external keyboard into the line in and put the switch on LINE I have to select Vocoder to get it to work, and this makes the external keyboard sound distorted through the vocal FX. Is there a way to control the synth with the external keyboard without the vocal FX coloring the signal?Thanks

How do you name and save tones within user programs?!
@roland_aus4 жыл бұрын
Hi there, thanks for your question! To save tones press the [Menu] button, move the cursor to "Tone Edit", press [Enter], then move the cursor to "Tone Name" and press enter. Use the cursor buttons to move to each letter in the tone name and use the [Program (Pattern)] buttons to change the letters of the alphabet. Press [Enter]. The Tones still need to be saved in the Program so press the [SHIFT] [WRITE] buttons together, (change the Program name with the same process if desired) then hit [ENTER] three times observing the instructions on screen.
