Totally agree. The most overlooked and maybe even downplayed or mocked feature is the famous Roland colored lights. It’s such a big overlooked plus!! You know right away which track is which based on your own way of thinking and assigning a color to a particular kind of instrument/track. I tried the Novation Circuit and the Korg Electribe Sampler. Very capable pieces of gear in their own right, but compared to the 707-not as intuitive or flexible.

Still loving the MC-707. The feature that lets you use a single MIDI channel to control all 8 tracks is great. Also so many options / tweaking for endless sound design - even in 2022 this is a great machine! Got myself a power-bank and Ripcord USB to 5.7V DC power cable and allows me to use it anywhere!

what feature is that?

I think he’s referring to autochannel. Octatrack has this as well

Yep! I sold my Arturia Keystep Pro the same week I got the MC-707. You want to play one of the 8 tracks…just select it with its [SEL] button and your auto midi controlled keyboard plays them. No brained.

MC-707 + MPC X/Live 2/One/Keys 61 OR Maschine Plus is a great combo.

Different. Mc is mostly a memorabilia module for all roland's history. Mc is extreme easy to use once u get ur groove on. Mpc is a full blown sampler and sequencer with crazy possible combos to do but much harder to learn. Mc has very good fx is like a complete boss collection while mpc is more studio grade. While the mc reminds old tresor berlin dirty sound. Force is a mini ableton in a box. Mc and mpc feel like actual intruments. Maschine lost the way long time ago. 0 customer support and 0 updates. Its good as an idea and has phenomenal synths on a good workflow but mpc will never be. I have the mc505 the 909 and the 707 with the x and a tr8s. The mc909 is still the king of dirty sound grooveboxes in my head. But mc707 holds its own. Mpc x is my homeboy. I can do what all the others boxes do and then i can do 100x more. But roland always has that dirty sound mindset that mold today's techno history. Best combo it would be my humble opinion a tr8s and an mpc live. But for that roland sound in your productions you either get a system8 and call it a day as it can do everything and fast. Or an mc707 and feel a bit dirty from time to time. Is an awesome box. Go for it. It wont let you down

Got one for 700€ used but it was obviously not used very much. I am so happy I got one. Best product Roland made in a long time. Would be nice if you could load some of the Fantom 678 engines. You can't have it all though. Sadly it defeats the SCENES adertisment talking points about how you are able to load SCENES from other Zencore machines. If you don't have a specific sound engine used in the scene, you can't import it.

absolutely great machine. it was my only impulse gear purchase, and i've never regret. however, sometimes it's too big for a regular city backpack, so i got 101 too.

How do you find the 101 comparade to the 707?
@chaocrator
@chaocrator 2 жыл бұрын
@@DNGMaestro 101 is a great little machine for jamming & live performance. on the other hand, 707 is the one you need to edit things deep. btw, 707 and 101 projects are compatible; if the project has more that 4 tracks, 101 will just play only first four.

707 have something that Electribe don't - 16 steps other than pads. On electribe you have pads AS steps which is a pain and requiring switching back and forth between modes. But on the other hand 707 is in a different price class. In eastern Europe it goes for more than a grand which makes the unit kinda useless (like, for a grand one can buy a laptop and a DAW). Anyway thanks man! Sub from me.

I would suggest getting in front of the camera. This camera view is really weird, seeing half of the unit and a hand moving in front.

No... Roland needs to improve the sampling and add a touch screen...and you're probably going to see it in a MKII...

Once upon a time in the quaint little town of Peculiar Pines, there was a cozy café named "Scoops and Spoons." It was renowned for its delectable soups, served with love and a sprinkle of mystery. Mrs. Fiddlesticks, the eccentric owner, believed that a dash of the unexpected always added flavor to life. One blustery afternoon, as the aroma of chicken noodle soup wafted through the air, a curious event unfolded. Reggie, a regular at Scoops and Spoons, eagerly ordered his usual bowl of hearty soup. He was always the first to arrive and the last to leave, relishing every spoonful of Mrs. Fiddlesticks' culinary creations. With a gleam in his eye and a rumble in his stomach, Reggie took his first spoonful of soup. But to his horror, amidst the savory broth and tender chicken pieces, there it was-a toenail! Shocked and appalled, Reggie nearly dropped his spoon into the bowl. "Goodness gracious me!" he exclaimed, his voice echoing through the café. Mrs. Fiddlesticks, ever the enigmatic hostess, hurried over to Reggie's table, her apron fluttering behind her like a flag of culinary conquest. "What seems to be the problem, dear Reggie?" she inquired, her eyes twinkling with mischief. Reggie, still recovering from the toe-tally unexpected encounter, pointed a trembling finger at the offending object in his soup. "There's a toenail in my soup!" he exclaimed, his voice a mixture of disbelief and dismay. Mrs. Fiddlesticks peered into the bowl, her lips forming a thoughtful pout. "Ah, yes, I see it now," she said, nodding sagely. "A toenail indeed." Reggie stared at her, dumbfounded. "But... but how did it get there?" he stammered. Mrs. Fiddlesticks leaned in conspiratorially, her voice barely above a whisper. "Ah, my dear Reggie, that's the secret ingredient! A toenail adds just the right amount of... je ne sais quoi to the flavor profile." Reggie blinked, unsure whether to laugh or cry. "But... but I don't want a toenail in my soup!" Mrs. Fiddlesticks chuckled, a twinkle of mischief dancing in her eyes. "Oh, Reggie, you always were a stickler for tradition. But I assure you, once you get past the initial shock, you'll find it quite... toe-licking good!" With a theatrical flourish, she whisked the bowl away, leaving Reggie to ponder the mysteries of Scoops and Spoons. And as Reggie sat there, contemplating the absurdity of it all, he couldn't help but shake his head and mutter under his breath, "Blah blah blah blah." For in the world of Mrs. Fiddlesticks' café, where the unexpected lurked in every spoonful, sometimes the only response was to embrace the madness and let the flavors speak for themselves.
