Bully, I've been looking at this amp for a while. This is the best review I've seen. Thanks, grooves were great too!

Hi Allen, I remember watching your videos one year ago when thinking about picking up the bass, and now that I'm looking for amps, there you are again. I don't usually use a KZbin account but I wanted to say thanks a lot for your videos. I hope you'll soon reach your 10 000 subscribers. Cheers!

This is by far the best demo of this little monster amp that has ever been done. I really hoped that Roland would have stayed in the bass game.

Complete beginner on bass and was looking around what to get just for learning. This video sold the Roland to me. Thank you for your thorough and honest review. Cheers!

Great job Bully. I found a lightly used amp at Guitar City and may have to jump on it after your review. Sweet.

Nice review I bought one of these The ONLY thing missing on this little beauty is a switch on the line out so you can choose if you want to hear the speakers on at the same time or not - I personally would love that option. Records really well as a preamp and the Session preset is great for slap!

I'm currently in the market for a good practice amp. I have several big amps, a couple of them tube, and I hate practicing through them because I use up the tubes, and I have an older unweildy 200 watt Kustom which sounds like crap and is a pain to keep near due to its size and its weight. So right now I've ordered an Orange Crush 50 watt bass amp, and I'm thinking it'll probably be pretty good (although I'm having some problems receiving it in a timely manner, and you know how agitated you get waiting for new kit to arrive!), but this demo was super excellent and made me start to think that I might want to get a Roland Cube instead. My phone has been giving out, so it's hard to always have a metronome on hand, and having those built in tap tempo beats seems super convenient. Not to mention the tone on that thing... it's excellent. My favorite was the flip top. It actually captured that little bit of lazy drag that makes those old tube amps sound so unique. I am an okay bassist and I've been in several bands, but I have really been trying to brush up on my theory and technique lately so I can become a super legit good bassist. It's hard to be inspired sometimes, but that little amp sounds like it could inspire some fun and productive practices, jams, and songwriting sessions! Gah, if I had more money, I'd just pop this little baby on to the end of my current order and enjoy both amps! Crowdfunding, anyone? I just need a couple hundred more dollars like tomorrow! What is it about gear? You can never get enough!

Oh I didn't mention that my current practice amp is an old 80s Peavey Rage 158 guitar practice amp, and the speaker's about to blow! Not to mention that the controls and the input are all crackly and poppy and uneven which means that the board is probably almost fried!

I have a Boss GT6b multi fx bass pedal and it's the same name they use for amp names. Wonder if they are in fact the same emulations? Also wonder how good it would sound if you were to mic the cab. ( might be interesting to try )

After watching your clip, I am thinking I will buy Roland MCB Rx. How is the sound when the volume is low?; is the sound still clear without any annoying noise coming, when the volume is low? Thank you from South Korea :)

Nice notes! Have you tried running a guitar? I’m actually looking for 1 bedroom amp that will handle bass and guitar. Read a lot of guys bashing guitar through bass amp but lots of great guitarists have used bassmans - Keith Richards for one. Know Keef was using a tube amp but still. Thanks for any direction.

Thats such good news to hear. I spend a lot of time in summer living and touring in my van. I really wanted an amp that can go on batteries but would like to play guitar occasionally aswell. Its so frustrating having to have an amp for each instrument. So glad to hear that this bass cube rx is all good for guitar as wel.... That's so needed. Its also real frustrating with pedals as well. I was thinkibg of getting a volume/wah bass pedal but cant afford to buy 2 of each effect with one for bass n one for guitar..... Real good news to hear about thevamp though!!! Xx

So can i run the line out, straight into a channel on the mixer? & then what ever sound i have from my bass/amp will also be fed through the line out to the mixer channel as well as me hearing myself through the amp as usual?

@@BullyThaKidd Hi, I don't understand, if you plug a headphone in "rec out / phone" it cuts the sound of the amp but if you plug a line out you still have the sound of the amp ? (Excuse my english)
