How many audio files can be accessed in DJ mode? Could you navigate between folders to find and load tracks from a list?

In DJ mode - can you NAME the tracks? So, instead of just selecting unnamed pads and trying to remember which pad is which song, is there an easy way to actually name the pads so you can more quickly find the track you want? Thx

Really intriguing overview and th SP-404 II is a great seeming product. But MAN... It's a shame some of this sampling brilliance wasn't included in the MC707... The long sample streaming here would have been the coup de grace over the Octatrack! I guess I'm gonna have to bring two Roland boxes to my live sets...

the mc series was a bit of a lowkey disaster all the features everyone wanted from the MC are now in the new Fantom x_x

@@summerlaverdure I don't know. My 707 has grown on me. There's more sampler in there than I initially realized although it is unfortunately not obvious until you play with the architecture. The Fantom may tie it all together but it's also not gonna fit in a DJ Booth which makes it a studio tool at best.

Some of the "new" features are really just taken from the SP-505, SP-606 and SP-808. But that's really neat because those all have shortcomings and it makes sense to make one device with the strengths of multiple earlier SP's combined, along with the portability of the SP-404.

You use the term destructive incorrectly. destructive means it will modify the original file and permanently make changes to it. it dos not do that. It just allocates the pad use per slice you assign.

It's a steep curve. Watched and re watched hours of tutorial vids on youtube to get the hang of the previous 404 but it's kinda worth it. I did switch to elektron stuff though, still got its learning curve but it makes more sense to me.
