I like the fact that you are showing people that you don't need a huge expensive kit to play drums and have fun. Whatever any company puts out to make entry level edrums better and easy to navigate I'm totally on board with. Drum Life!!!!!

Here's the thing, almost anybody can be good - it's all up to how much you want it, ie the amount of time you practice and dedicate yourself to perfecting yourself. Then you become old like me, and you decide that it's all a waste of time trying to impress people - Pride. A total waste of time. Now I play to enjoy myself 😊.

Sounds a great entry kit.I dont know much about e-drums so I need to ask this question and hopefully someone will kindly answer. Can I configure this kit for left handed ? And if so, is it just a case of a 'mirror' set up and inputting the correct inputs etc? Great demo, thanks!

Hey! Each cable has it's own marking for kick, crash, snare etc. Therefore it doesn't matter where exactly you position your pads. I hope this helps! If you have any further question, feel free to contact us directly -> info@drum-tec.de

Nice, looking to get the TD-02K as my first drum kit. Can it be folded to store it on a corner like other Roland drum kits?
@christopherepp8721 Жыл бұрын
Would you recommend that I buy a new td02k (with all rubber pads) or a used td11kv (all mesh pads and triple zone ride)? They are roughly the same price but the td11 is older. What are your thoughts?
@IansDrumsandBass11 ай бұрын
The TD - 11KV has a host of editing features , whereas this has none. I have a TD11KV , but I'm not a fan of acoustic drum sounds - too much ring on the toms, but most people seem to go for that. I prefer the dry sound and then at least you can add your own reverb. You can muffle the sounds in the TD 11 but I'm not a fan of that module, mainly due to the toms. The snares on this sound better, and some of the toms, but I don't know if this even has EQ adjustment.
@IansDrumsandBass11 ай бұрын
I'm planning on selling my module and getting something better and keeping the rest of the kit. The Roland stuff is built like a tank. I've just bought an Alesis Nitro Max and the rack is like a toy in comparison, BUT it's very light and portable, which is why I bought it and the kits sound 10 x better than the TD11. The TD 11 is very big and heavy to carry around.
@christopherepp872111 ай бұрын
Okay long story short, I ended up buying the td11kv. So far I really like it. Would you say you like the nitro module more than the td11?
@IansDrumsandBass11 ай бұрын
@@christopherepp8721 VERY good choice! Yes, I like dry drum sounds and the toms on the Nitro Max are awesome. You've bought a kit that will outlive you! 🙂 Andif you ever want to, you can upgrade the module like I'm going to. I was going to sell my TD11 but I've decided to keep it and just upgrade the module. The cymbals on THE TD11 are also very nice,and the editing options are awesome - the Nitro Max doesn't have individual pad EQ, only global EQ - I miss that!! The TD 11 does have it. To answer your question, yes, I much prefer the sounds on the Max, BUT sound is VERY PERSONAL, most people like the TD11's sounds.

The biggest weakness is the rubber actuator in the hihat pedal. It becomes stiff and loses responsiveness over time.

I've just bought an Alesis Nitro Max, and some reviews say the factory toms are too loud, mine are too, but I watch vdos on the kit , of people playing the factory kits and some don't seem to have that problem? Weird. Very weird. They seem to differ country to country.

Got a Roland U20 as a kid. Best keyboard I've ever had. So I got gokeys and a TD02kv. I am deeply disappointed with both. The gokeys doesn't have sounds that rival the 1989 u-20. Barely any improvement on drum sounds. The TD02kv has some improvement on drum samples thank God, but there is no customization whatsoever, you can't even pan the toms. There's really only 2 kits you can use if you want a decent drum sound and you can't add any or switch any out. For instance if you wanted to use the stadium snare with home studio toms, you can't do that. I don't know what to do. Clearly I need a td27kv2 but I just spent $1000 so when can I do that?
@IansDrumsandBass11 ай бұрын
Always watch as many vdos as you can before buying ANY edrum kit. Also, download the manuals to see what they can and can't do. No editing on this SUCKS. BIG TIME

The metal kits in (frankly all roland modules) are always the worst. The home studio is pretty good. Still a lot of room for improvement, especially the cymbals.
