I have the TD25..took a little tweaking but sounds really good..and not just my opinion but by other musicians and people at the gigs..I would highly recommend using a Direct Box. Allows you to play in stereo, and gives you the pan effect. Also you run XLR to the board that way makes a big difference I think.

The older rack has boom arms for cymbals. It has been discontinued but you can still buy the td-17 kvx at certain stores with the older rack. Look for MDS-4KVX drum stand. That’s the older rack. The new rack is the Mds-com drum rack.

Question? My band has an x32 Producer from Behringer, Can I run a Td 17 via usb into the x32 and mix it there as a multi track. Meaning having the Kick on chanel 1, snare on channel 2 and so on? I don't need it all in one or two channels. If so I will run 1/4 inch to aux in's.

My question for this or any other edrum set-up is do you need a preamp or power amp before the mixer input? I'm just picturing a larger venue and and the ridiculous stage volumes of the other instruments and if straight out of the module is enough?
@rollthebones65514 жыл бұрын
You can go directly to the mixer with nothing in between, volume can be boosted from the mixer if needed. The module itself acts like a preamp.

Hi, Roland is td 17 and td 20 modules better than that of td 25 which is more expensive. U have not been fair to me. Example td 20 has individual outs... Td 17 has 3 eq on each instrument.... why Roland why Roland..... Td 17 has 50 drum kits ...td 25 = 18 kits why...... Very bad....
@dazzanomas94186 жыл бұрын
I always new a lot of people who jumped in to buy the td25 when it first come out would live to regret it and i suspect those who do the same with this td17 will also ending up learning a valuable lesson. Roland say's it has listened to what customers wanted, they clearly haven't. With so many new companies entering the ekit market Roland really need to up their game and really start giving the customers what they want like individual inputs, bigger toms, bigger cymbals and an optional full size bass drum that doesn't bust the bank like the over priced one they have offered.
