Roland TD-50KV drum-tec Edition electronic drum kit now available

In this video, we show you the new Roland TD-50KV "drum-tec edition". Compared to a "regular" Roland TD-50KV, the drum-tec edition kit brings the following upgrades:
One more tom pad (PD-108): The drum-tec edition has 4 toms altogether, instead of only 3 as the regular TD-50KV
MG crash cymbals: The drum-tec edition comes with two CY-14C-MG crashes, instead of the regular CY-14C / CY-15R combination of the TD-50KV.
The kit is considerably cheaper than a regular TD-50KV(!), while being bigger & containing the same technology & more components.
How does it work? drum-tec has bought a huge TD-30KV stock from Roland & now re-combines the kits with the new TD-50DP digital upgrade packages, et voila: There you have the Roland TD-50KV drum-tec edition!

Is it missing any features that a regular TD-50KV would have, like slightly different sounds on each hit? If it isn't missing any features, how is it cheaper? Either way, it's awesome!

Hey folks, just to clear that out: This kit is 100% original Roland, all components are the exact same as the "regular" TD-50KV with the difference, that there is on PD-108 (tom pad) more, and you get the MG cymbals (2xCY-14C-MG & VH-13-MG) instead of the black ones. On how we can offer it at such a low price, there already is an info in the video´s info text (but obviously nobody reads that). drum-tec has bought a huge stock of TD-30KV kits from Roland, as this kit model is no longer marketed by Roland. Those kits are being re-configured/combined with TD-50DP digital upgrade packages (as TD-30KV had the same components as TD-50KV except the TD-50DP), and voila: that´s the TD-50KV drum-tec edition. All parts 100% original, same technology as the regular TD-50KV, but considerably cheaper & "more kit" for the money. Kind regards

Slightly different sound on each hit sounds very good.. I take the TD-17 doesn't have that? As I'm interested in that model but the sounds I'm hearing from the module still sound quite digital to me.. better than 15 years ago sure, but still.. although I've heard the kit combined with Addictive Drummer 2 and well that sounds pretty amazing.

At least you don’t have to squeeze it in your box room and have ted and Ethel threatening to go to the local council to get u evicted for the noise. Heard phones easy storage. Sounds great. The answer to all of us who get put off getting a kit cos mum can’t hear Jeremy Kyle in the afternoon cos of the constant drum rolls. Bang away in sheer madness and enjoyment 🥁🥁🥁

Justin i need some help! I bought a roland td 25kv and I went from an acoustic to electric. When I had my Acoustic kit, I hat 2 hi hats (my main one, and a permanently closed one that i could play while rocking the double bass) So i bought a second hi hat for my roland kit, but I cant have the second hit hat closed pertinently. It mimics the main hi hat. I asked Roland directly and they told me I cant have 2 hi hats with 1 closed and the other open, (i also asked them the same question im asking you, but no reply) Can I have a second closed hi hat with the roland 30 and or the roland 50? or do you know if i can use the TM-2 to fix my problem? If you know please respond. Thanks

Hi Ryan, there are different kits in the video coming from different collections: "Roland Artist Update for TD-50": comes as a free download from Roland in addition to onboard sounds "drum-tec Live Sound Edition" and "drum-tec Real Snare Sample Package" come exclusively from drum-tec (for free), if you buy your TD-50 kit / module from drum-tec!
