Roland TD30 Hidden Feature

so to be clear, if the TD20 kits cannot be edited, Is it also the case they cannot be overwritten? The post behind my question is if I won't to download additional kits from say V-Expressions, could these (50 kits) be loaded into that TD20 space? As TD30 only has 20 user kit spaces.tks

Justin, you do a "great" job with your videos....so please keep it up. This particular video is an interesting one, because, are these kits "really hidden"? On my module, which was purchased new w/ my TD-30 kit, "already" had these kits present in the kit menu. Perhaps the manufacturer unlocked them prior to shipping? Nonetheless, this module is VERY GOOD, as are the TD30 kits themselves. Personally, I couldn't be happier with it, except for a couple of additions that I would like. Of course, I would much rather have a nice acoustic kit, but I'm yet to find anyone that lives close by who is willing to put up with it. lol. So, these are my only other option. Anyway, keep aspiring to inspire with your videos.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. And as for the name, I call it hidden, because the Roland team doesn't talk about the feature much, and you really have to dig in the menus to find it. The we're not hiding the feature, they just put it in a not obvious space. But hey! The title got you interested enough to watch it. Which is why I named it that.

No, I do not think that's a feature. But the TD50 has plenty of solid kits. I don't think you'll need vision if you buy it.

so after you are done with the Rd 20 kit, how do you get back to the TD 30 kits. just got the kit, I may more questions as I dive into with kit thanks Russ

I actually prefer the TD 20 sounds , older doesn't necessarily mean not as good :) I find the TD 20 warmer sounding

If I switch over to this will it erase my settings on the td-30 side or does everything remain saved? I want to play with this but my td-30 is my money maker and it would be crippling to lose all of my settings.

You can do it on the TD-50. They say that's why the onboard sounds are somewhat limited compared to the TD 20 & 30.

No I don't think the TD50 does. But I don't know for sure.
