Yamaha DTX8 is priced from $2,800 to $3,300 depending on pad surfaces. Sure, Yamaha is not Roland, but it sounds very good.

The pads look smaller than the 716. Is it just different in size? How is that new BD. It looks smaller than the previous BD. Is there an upgrade in tech? How does it feel in comparison to the older BD. I want the footprint of the 713 but the best toms. Maybe use my old BD if there is no upgrade in tech.

Efnote sounds better…but roland plays triggers better but Pearl does it all even better but yamaha is cheaper and worth a try but…. 😂

This is the first time ever I've heard Simmons SDS V style sounds on a modern electronic kit. Shouldn't be that the main reason to get the electronic drum set, to get the Simmons sounds?

All electric kits over 1000 bucks are trash, get a cheap kit and ez drummer 3, studio quailty for under 1000k

Spot on!! I did buy a VAD507 and paired it with ED3. Every gig is followed with, "Are you using a vst? How does it sound like that?!" Looking back, I'd buy the Td17 and pair it with ED3. Bam!! FYI, I also use 2-Bose PA system with subs when playing live. You can feel the kick 😊
