Works great. It is easy to open and remove the Hard Disk Drive (HDD)from the Roland VS2000cd and replace it with a Solid State Sata drive. The cost is inexpensive. I bought this 64 gig ssd for $20.

I have a vs 1880 and wondered what the best way to go about fixing it. My original HD crashed 2 years ago. I purchased a presonus studio 1 DAW but have found it difficult to learn. I just want to get back to the business of creating music. What are your suggestions?

is a certain brand or class SSD required or recommended?

I made sure to buy ssd cards that were 6gb/s transfer rate. At first I was concerned about name brands but instead just went on craigslist and ebay and bought a few that were used for less than $35. Just looking for anything that was 64gb - 128gb in that price range with that spec. I bought Samsungs, Kingstons and the one above. Everything works perfectly whether at 24bit 96 khz or lower rates.

Ok nice it works, but the boot up procedure is not really faster, a little bit maybe!? So that is what i see....!? The VS-2000 CD record only in 44.1Khz! When you Record in 24Bit, the Maschine records allways in 44,1Khz....!? Or not? I sell my VS-2000 ... that is a very good Maschine, in my Opinion the best Digital Recorder you can Buy, better than the big VS2480...than the VS-2000 have a USB 2.0 Connection! It is the only one of the VS Recorder with USB Interface. And a Automix runs througth the Software...very good. Nice to see that this thing is allway alive!

Hi! The boot-up procedure will not be faster, it does not depend on the hard drive, this depends on the hardware processes (OS is stored in flash memory - in the chip on the motherboard). But I noticed that the recognition and loading of the new SSD disk at the turn on the machine has become a longer, and it perhaps depends on the SSD brand/mark and the adapter. I have a WD Green SSD 120 GB in one of the my machines, and it is recognized about 40 seconds, then the system starts and loads the current project.

Speed, and most importantly, no HD Noise
@theprogrammerrolandmc30392 жыл бұрын
@@mariobros237 a processor does not run faster because of ssd and the vs2000 has a fan that makes more noise than the harddrive
