*Only if you go to this page via the link in the description and place an order. It could also link to Amazon for some Hardware. Every KZbinr do this. Many don't say it in the videos, he was fair and still mentioned it. Whats the problem? He invests a lot of time in such a video. Time is money. He could also not make a video at all and save himself the time. i would support him on patreon if i could. I know how hard it is to do a video like that.*

I know what affiliate links are, but the whole thing just felt a kinda scetchy. I had never heard of Idrive (kinda sounds like a knockoff of iCloud) and the website signup felt like it was straight from a scam. I did a little bit of more research and they seem to be a pretty legit and good service. If you are using cloud services for backup only, i would recommend using Backblaze since it has unlimited storage if you keep the files on your pc, and its ridiculously cheap.

It's always good to see a new video from you PowerCert! As for me, I replaced the spinners on my desktop and laptop, and the boot up time and overall performance is at least 10 times faster. I will never go back to a spinner, no matter how cheap they can be. As for my desktop, I have a 1TB SSD as primary and a 2TB as secondary for docs and seldom used files.

i found out after change from HDD to SDD, that windows restart faster, load faster, firefox is 3 times faster, youtube loading faster, programms loading faster, i install the Samsung 980 PRO SSD, 1TB, before my OS HDD was 250 GB big but 1TB is more than enough for an OS and extra Data. A SSD is best invest to upgrade your Computer i can tell you 100%. Remember: Run your OS (Operating System on a SSD to load Apps, Programms faster) for Archive date, use an HDD Storage. My System Specs: Ryzen 5 5600, MSI 550 Gaming Plus Mainboard, Trident DDR4-3600 RAM, Samsung 980 Pro, 1TB SSD.

hybrid hdd/ssd is garbage we need to pump out 1tb 2tb ssds to get it cheaper as the chinese are catching up but still fail to make... well I bought 2 tb ssd for 35 euros from china advertised by facebook, well it was 100 times slower than my phillips 1tb ssd for 70 euros I bought after... chinese sometimes bring some real garbage thing, although my laptop is taiwanese, and last 2 smartphones were chinese... I have my smartphone 2gb ram quad core for 80 euros for 4 years and was able to buy from china a batteries to replace what I had and think I can do another 3 years till eu says smartphones must allow battery replacement without needing any tools at 2027 3 years from now.... but one thing my chinese smartphone lacks is take a photo of my brown gold color as you see it is only white and grey in my profile picture lol... and it also cant take of my greenish red brown eye as it makes it black eye which I dont have but my children have it from their mother and it is very black eye and on top of their center black iris, but they are doing good in soccer and school so I think they donnt see dark lol...

That thing can be modified for any application for entreprise stuff where they need high density Per smaller space

Great videos ; I often share these as an IT pro to explain things to regular people. Some suggestions on this video: a) weight ; SSDd are also more lightweight than the magnetic ones and is a benefit b) I often reference magnetic disks as "spinning disks" and target the benefit of SSD as eliminating that moving part. c) price.... while you are presently correct, the assertion on price will soon be moot. I often replace 1TB drives with 128GB SSDs for less and $30 to garner the improvement in a system and extend it's useful life without a tonne of cost and many people who HAVE a 1TB drive are never anywhere near it's capacity
@hariranormal5584
@hariranormal5584 3 жыл бұрын
That's a bad way to think of it. Weight wouldn't even matter if the Drive was on a PC, like who gives a damn fuck for that? Unless it's in a Laptop IT WOULD slightly weigh more and less. And about the "Use 120GB SSD" instead of 1TB HDD, yes, sure the prices are same there, but I know many people who DO USE all that storage capacity when they have the cheaper 1TB HDD option. Most of the people use their storage to be fair.

another great video. SSHD's are not an extinct drive, they didn't see much use, as it was alot easier and more cost effective in the long run to run a SSD and HDD rather than SSHD. SSHD's had very small flash memory (usually 8GB), which isn't really enough to even cache the OS, let alone todays games.

@hariranormal5584
@hariranormal5584 3 жыл бұрын

@@hariranormal5584 Solid State Drives actually are less durable than Hard drives and once the write cycles get used up the SSD DRIVE will no longer work (it's due to the flash memory chips failing in time so Hard drives are much more hardy)

A 1tb drive for the OS and programs, a 2tb drive for my personal data and the 3rd SSD is a 500gb audio only drive when using my recording software. I back up to an external USB drive and if anything ever crashes all I would have to do is re-install the OS and programs, my data is safe. I know there might be other methods but this one suits me well.

Here's my laptop spec Celeron n3350 2gb ram hdd. He said that the only problem is the CPU because it's weak Soo it's pointless upgrading. But my cousin has the same laptop but it's 4gb and ssd same CPU the speed it good I only took 30sec to boot mine is like 2mins opening an app takes about 30mins

IMO SSHD is a waste of money, I wonder why they even made it, it doesn't even have a taste of SSD, in terms of booting (windows and games) and transferring files there are only slightly differences between a typical HDD and the so called hybrid SSHD, but the price comparison is 2:3, on the other hand the comparison between typical HDD and entry level SATA SSD is 1:2 but the SSD is at least 3x faster, so IMO we'd better have a combo of HDD and SSD than the so called hybrid SSHD
