Roland I recently read an article on florida bass. In the article they were discussing that research has indicated that florida strain large mouth are a stand alone species and not a sub species of the northern strain. Have your heard any talk about this being so familiar with florida bass? I've often thought that they had distinct characteristics that set them apart

@@drinkthekoolaidkids I've been bassin for 58 yrs. and learned, like the great rick clunn said, there are no absolutes in fishing. I don't mean to knock roland martin but I've caught bass in every way opposite to what roland claims is the best to fish the '' devils horse '' : 1 - '' super slow retrieve '' ... caught bass on a straight '' buzzing '' retrieve, 2 '' clear water... caught them in muddy water as well, 3 '' warm water ''... caught them in cold water ( 45 degrees ), '' calm water ''... caught them in choppy water, '' low light conditions ''... some of my best days were under bluebird skies. I've learned to let the fish tell me what they want, not what I think they want.
