Lol...you want the lc2i converter and get rid of that planet audio amp. Match those subs (entry level subs) with a fosgate 500 watt mono amp and you will notice a big difference. My wife ordered the same bass package online as well even though I said don't get that crap. So she complained it wasn't bumping...I hooked up a fosgate and an alpine amp and the difference was night and day for bass. The lc2i converter will restore bass from your factory system and sound awesome. Don't be cheap just spend the money on one.

I ordered the same subs and amp. After 6 months the boss amp fried on me, I replaced with a fosgate amp and the subs still bump hard af. The subs quality are very good, the amp is pretty low quality when it comes to the super lows and super highs but once u get a better amp I promise it hits harder than you’d expect for $200, technology will always get cheaper to make so don’t downgrade them because of the price. Just but the subs for $150 and spend more on the amp and I promise you’ll have a good setup!!!

You can get a PAC line out converter for 8 bucks lol. But just get a new head unit and 6x9s. I have that exact car color and everything and the stock stereo sucks ass and mine was the Boston Acoustic upgraded version. If you're gonna do it do it right or else it's gonna sound ghetto af. Bass will drown out mids and highs and it will sound like garbage

Mine did the same but it's because the mtx amp is only a 250watt and the subs are pushing 400watts.

How did you wire the tapped in speakers on the amp? Did you use the inputs where RCA goes or did you use the high level inputs?

From the looks of it he just shoved the wires into the rca jacks for the sub input. Not sure if that amp has a switch to select input or not. The fact that he thought the fuse was to blame for the amp not shutting off with the key tells me he has no idea what high/low inputs are. "I hooked the remote wire directly to the battery but the fuse isnt working so the amp stayed on"

I hooked up an Alpine PDX-M6 (600 rms) to an MTX dual box found at the pawn shop for $100 out the door w/ 30day warranty. I downloaded a DB meter and it avg 120 DB in my Prius. Just got the ZXX 2000.1 to amp up the front/rear door speakers and a Pioneer AVH-501EX head unit yet to install...can't wait! Just need to find what wattage and brand door speakers that aren't too $$$ 6x9 front and 5.25 rear...not sure of the clearance. Any ideas? Polk, JL, Alpine, Kicker, ??? I hope I can run this 2nd amp w/o upgrading battery etc since it's just a Prius.

Yeah I know my mind is blown. It would take way too much typing to go down the list of fuckups. Im 39 years old and we had no KZbin, I learned and got really good. Your dude HAS something like KZbin to do a little watching on for some help and he still fuck's it up. Did he really need to pull the deck out to see there were no RCA's on that thing? And the dude seriously thought there weren't any back speakers because he couldn't physically see them 😂, that had me rolling. Then he rips his entire car apart to run the wires up through the middle, and STILL didn't even hide all of it. It was a damn remote wire, connected to the cigarette lighter I may add. I'd hate to have seen how he'd run remote, power, and RCA's. It would have take 2 minutes to run it up the side, just tuck it under everything, up to switched power fuse in the fuse block, pull out the fuse, strip the wire, and push it in the block with the fuse blade. Bam. Done. Then he sounds disappointed because his trunk don't rattle as much as 15's he says. 1) it's not the speaker size alone that would cause that. You can put a couple good 8's and do the same with enough power. 2) that's what they make dynomat for. 3) You can't show someone how it sounds through a video on KZbin. Anyway, im sitting inside a tank right now. We're in the field, and I had the time to write all this while im waiting for the damn fueler to fill me up so I can go have fun and play Lazer tag in tanks lol
