I remember this same racist rhetoric in 1980 Miami FL. In the 80's there was an influx of Cubans and Haitian immigrants in Miami . Racist spread lies about the Haitians eating the cat's and dog's and having HIV/AIDS. Haitians were either deported or detained at the Krome Ave. Detention Center in Homestead FL. While the Cuban immigrants were treated with kindness and open arms😔

@@deannaharris4757Honestly, I never heard of issues with Haitians in Miami or the US period. I always heard of issues with Cubans in Miami. I was born and raised in Michigan. Spent most of my life in Flint Michigan. I have a brother whose mother is from Puerto Rico and when her and my dad divorced, she moved from Michigan back to Florida. When me and my brother reconnected,my he told me stories of Miami and mostly of Cubans. He never said anything about Haitians. Even watching TV never anything about Haitians but only of Cubans until Trump brought it up.
