I guess I don't get your point. There are always outliers in any trend. Also, there is no accounting for vintage, as some buyer may want it so bad they overpay. Also, the craziness in HK right now is making people move their cash into hard assets that can be quietly exported.

The difference in color on the lume plots of that ref 6538 is not a flaw. Rolex traditionally tinted the lume material in the rectangular 6 o’clock lume plot a different shade to differentiate it from the 5 and 7 o’clock round plots. Rather than being a detriment to the condition and value of a vintage Rolex, this detail can often be an unmistakable marker of authenticity that’s as difficult to counterfeit as the radioactivity from a vintage radium dial. To say that the color of those lume plots “don’t match” only reveals the narrator’s lack of knowledge and naivety.

Your comment would carry a lot more weight had you left the dig at the end off, I’m sorry you felt the need to do that. Cheers.

Stories surrounding the impending popping of the Rolex bubble have been premature. It’s still alive and well much to watch enthusiasts chagrin’s. We did have a pullback when Covid first started early 2020 but since that scare it’s roared back unabated
