Nice table of watches. I own a Sixties Senator Date and love that Glashutte built a $8,000 tribute to a $200 Timex. 👍

GF Tourbillon 24° amazing tech caliber, not for all costumers, but excellent piece. I met Mr. Forsey at the México SIHH great person. My two votes this show 1. RD simpathie , underrated model, Geneva Hallmark, "retro actual" design ... Great watch. 2. AL&S 1815 the Best simplicity, elegance and quality on the wrist. Thanks Tim and Crew

Tim, I’m a long time watcher and fan of your channel. First of all, thank you for your incredible amount of high quality work. Your knowledge of horology is astounding but most impressively, your presentations are always beautifully articulate, knowledge dense and accurate, consistent in format and balance your position as a salesperson and true passion as a watch connoisseur so well. Your obsession with these time pieces is infective and contagious in a great way. The way you highlight the high points of any given watch without fluff, without generic descriptives gives us viewers a broad appreciation for the work and craftsmanship that goes into these time pieces. Oh, and you’re the only person who pronounces every single French, german, Swiss word and name perfectly. It’s much appreciated. The only thing your channel is missing is ultra high magnification video shots like watchfinder.co.uk has, but the amount of content y’all produce is so massive, that type of videography certainly may not feasible. Again, thank you for feeding us knowledge hungry watch lovers with the best content on the web. Will
@the1916companywatchreviews4 жыл бұрын
It would be fun, but it's beyond my resources. Ultra-high magnification and edits aren't compatible with our production approach; I shoot two inventory shows and 28-32 individual watches per week. Combining that volume with Watchfinder's approach would require an army. Perhaps someday. Best, Tim

When I was first introduced to Glashutte by your channel, I determined to own one for weekend, daytime, casual wear. So much to admire about its shape, finish and proportions. But then I became aware of how much smaller the movement is than the case. I find that disappointing. The large aperture of the saphire case back even emphasizes this fact, as if Glashutte wants ensure we all know. The impression I get is, they have cheaply repurposed an older movement from a smaller model to quickly produce this later design with larger proportions. I can't see this as favorable feature of its design. Since then you've made me aware of the Jaeger LeCoultre Ultra Thin Moon Phase and my search this place in my collection is sealed. Thank you for allowing me to post my humble opinion.

Great as usual Tim, Thanks for the watch update, I hope your mother is recovering well. I think the watch industry and business are both taking a hit this time, a black swan event that will affect us all in the next months. I have to say the Roger Dubuis Sympathie looks very cool and unique, but my favorite from this table is the unattainable Greubel Forsey Tourbillon 24-Seconde :D

While I LOVE the green crystal and the blue dial, I think the Milgauss is a difficult choice when compared to the 15mil gauss armor of an Aqua Terra. Especially since the main selling point of the model is a feature that has been completely eclipsed by modern engineering by Omega and others.

A shorter show with less watches than usual it seems...any particular reason why? The two-tone Sea-dweller has no reason to exist. I imagine doesn’t sell well and will likely be discontinued in the near future. As you can tell, I don’t like it! I didn’t know Journe also made iced out watches like Rolex, more disappointment. The sector dial Patek annual calendar is more my jam, very nice. The dark side of the moon, another good’n. And then the Mk2, my favorite Speedmaster of them all! The Glashutte is a lot of fun and reminds me of a GS Snowflake with it’s textured dial. Finally, nobody makes a rotor like Lange 🙂

Love the show as always, but wanted to let you know you're pronouncing pavé wrong.
@the1916companywatchreviews4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for supporting the show, Matthew. "Paved" is my native English language terminology for the decoration style of this watch. Pavé is correct if we're using all original language terms as Journe himself would speak them, but that's not the case in my presentation. While I use French terms often when they're conventions of the hobby for English speakers (e.g., "tourbillon," "foudroyante"), diamond-paved dials and cases aren't common for men's watches on this program. That, and my video feed isn't the most detailed, so clarity is my goal when describing how the watch looks in person; it's definitely "paved" with diamonds inside and out. I follow the annual Belgian/French cycling classics each year, so "pavé" is an old friend. Best, Tim

Sorry Tim, but that Greubel Forsey is just amazingly ugly - it brings to mind Prince Charles' quotation about "a monstrous carbuncle on the face of a much-loved, elegant friend," And the movement finishing appears nowhere near the level of Lange or Patek, however many hours it took. No doubt an impressive mechanism, but the overall design is practically a challenge to any sense of style and good taste. No doubt it should sell very quickly...
