Superb Video and the Rolex is amazing! Do you no if this watch is likely more available then the rolex stainless stell gmts in the AD's?

Thank you for your nice comment! 😊 I heard that the more expensive models of their hot sportswatches are more available, i.e. the precious medal variants. But it definitely depends on the AD as smaller ADs get these more special watches less often but there is also less demand for them :)

@TheWatchScientists
@TheWatchScientists Жыл бұрын
See how many positions are in the crown, pull the crown and see how many setting positions are possible. There is one for winding and one for the time setting. If there is a third crown position, you use that one for the date setting. If there is only two crown positions you will have to adjust the day and the date using the pushers on the case. Be careful not to use anything that could scratch the watch, toothpicks should be good

I've seen an estimate that Rolex makes 900-1,200 meteorite dials a year. This would make this GMT the rarest production model that Rolex makes seeing how Rolex makes 800-900k watches per year. Production is expected to end in a couple of years.

The AP looks like some 1000 dollar watch compared to that Rolex.
@TheWatchScientists
@TheWatchScientists 3 жыл бұрын
Not really sure what you mean or which visual aspect of the watch makes you think that. Maybe you can't appreciate older watches? It obviously has some wear and a few years back finishing was just not as high as it is today simply because techniques evolved.
@vika0194
@vika0194 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheWatchScientists How are you not sure. Look at it. It’s plain and cheap looking compared to the GMT.
@TheWatchScientists
@TheWatchScientists 3 жыл бұрын
@@vika0194 Well that proves my point, it certainly did not feel cheap. You simply aren't able to appreciate a worn/older timepiece (which is okay). If I showed you a Rolex Datejust from the late 90s you could say the same about that. Watch-making evolved, not to mention that you cannot possibly visually compare a post 2016 Rolex which is obviously brand-new and has not the slightest sign of wear with an older model AP that has been through quite some wear. There's no point in comparing the two watches just because they are in the same video.
@vika0194

@@TheWatchScientists It’s not about appreciating it. I am looking at it and that’s what it looks like. I have an opinion, you have an opinion.
