Im a professional Crude Oil trader and have studied price action my whole adult life. You wont see Rolex prices falling right now because no one knows what will happen with the economy in the next 3 months. All my trader friends say that we will be in a official depressions for at least the next 12 months and these are friends of mine that you have seen on Bloomberg and CNBC. Now Im a huge Rolex fan so if I was giving advice, I would tell someone looking to sell a Rolex "Sell Now" while you can still sell for a profit. I figure you have about 3 weeks left to do that. If you are buying, wait 3 months and you will have the greatest buying opportunity in the last 15 years. One last thing. If the Virus flares back up in Asia in a bad way then all bets are off. When Asian sellers flood the Rolex market we could see 50% to 60% declines in prices. And for all of you who say a Rolex can never go down by 60%... Well Oil just traded at -35 Dollars a barrel!!! Oil actually went below ZERO!!!! Yes Oil producers actually had a pay YOU $35 to take the oil!!!! So if Crude Oil can go to ZERO just wait and see what happens to these Rolex prices. The tsunami is coming... 26m unemployed in USA... the EU still has a ton of economic stimulus. Second half of this year will be brutal. If you are holding stock bought at pre covid prices you are DONE. End of. Going to be a race to the bottom with assets for people desperate for cash flow and that includes average joe on the street with a fancy Rolex on wrist but can’t make his mortgage...

These are not stocks. These are objects, jewels or tools that you wear everyday. Let's say you got a Daytona at retail. Even if it dropped from 24k to current 20k and you decide to sell, you still made a killing on it. Imagine buying a car...using it for 3-4 years and then sell it for 40% more what you paid for.

I went to my local AD last July with the intention of buying a sub no date. I had saved up the money to buy outright £5750.00, unfortunately no luck and they told me the waiting list was closed. I got looking at the Tudor Pelagos range, I purchased the LHD with a decent discount, which I’m delighted with I’ve not actually worn it yet my intention is to pass it on with all my other watches to my grandson. I wanted to purchase the BB58 but they only had it with the leather strap no discount on that, I want the bracelet. I definitely want the sub no date I’m not a flipper just a small collector.

Now is a horrible time to invest in stocks. There is a massive bubble in stocks that hasn't popped yet because there seems to be a massive disconnect between the reality on main street and what wall street thinks. We're going to have depression-level unemployment for the rest of the year, there are incredible numbers of people that aren't paying their rent and will be evicted in a few months, and a lot of forclosures on rental properties. That said, watches haven't really dropped yet either.

Initially I see the middle class being forced to liquidate assets and I’m going to tip the 2 to 3 piece watch collection is going to be front and centre. The much loved Rolex is going to look like much needed quick cash ...and it will be ...but a thousand other owners will all have the same idea hence prices will drop in my opinion certainly on the S/S models where there is demand and a quick sale to be had. @@jasonbrown1366 Tip of the iceberg. Let me give you a hint. For the last 2 years most Rolex sales were B2B sales. Dealers selling to dealers, not to customers. Those dealers have no way of moving those watches without losing money on every single sale. They have 2 choices- 1 liquidate positions to pay their monthly nut 2- Get a bridge loan and Stick the Rolex in a vault for 2 years until prices rebound. Rolex pre-owned prices are going to be less than 50% of retail like they used to be in 2008. There is way too much pre-owned stock. Every other watch brand will be toxic. If you are a Rolex seller, get out now! They are only going lower.

But....Eric, me and my viewers were really disappointed to read from CRM that you faked most of interaction in the commentary over the past 6 years; i.e. mostly other staff members were responding. Its a touchy situation. Because although I was completely insulted when I heard that comment about me “not” commenting, I wanted to immediately answer back straight on that comment. But I wanted to respect there page and be the bigger person. FYI... I answered thousands of comments myself. Thousands. And the only other person that helped answer was Dan Alvarez. No one else.I never had an ownership. But I put all my effort and soul and treated it as if it was my own. No one was trying to fake or mislead. The number one thing to me was the viewers. I worked 40-50hrs a week in that store. And answered thousands of questions for sales on IG dm’s, email, phone, watsapp, walk ins, the KZbin. I referred to it as My channel because I busted my ASS to get those topics and videos done. I came up with the topics. I recorded all those videos straight freestyle with no script. I respect you 100% for mentioning that to me in a very straight up and respectful manner. I worked there with 1000% and gave it my all like it was my own. I came up with every topic and I answered 1000’s of comments and Yes Dan Alvarez helped me with the simple ones(anything complicated or technical was clearly me). I appreciate you pointing that out.

I don’t think there will ever really be a total crash . I think in the months to come there will be an increase in availability and a lot of pieces will be easier to access . Everything will pretty much depend upon Rolex production levels . If supply is greater and demand decreases then of course preowned prices will be affected.it could be back to pre 2015 / 2016 where preowned prices will be around 20 25 percent under list . I would say if this happens it’s just things returning to normal after four years of an artificial market .

Eric, I think the slide has just begun. With all the people out of work and the bankruptcies that are starting to happen not to mention the weakened Asian market, I can only see one direction, down. Rolex and Patek as usual will hold up better than any other brands. I have a Batman & Pepsi on order from the AD. Let’s see how long it takes. Great new Channel Eric!

Market price is all about physiology especially for the luxury goods which are super elastic. We’ve been seeing this a lot in all around world so far whenever there comes recession. Once players in the market started to panic and throw away their goods, that’s how it started. And it would be good opportunity as well....

Very good perspective. If a $3k dip is a big deal to the buyer, they really can’t afford a luxury watch anyway. A new Batman from $15k to $13k is still a strong indication these watches are strong even in a economic crisis. It’s time to buy for the watch enthusiast. The commodity traders can pick the bones of another hobby.

Good video Eric, spot on. The Rolex 116719-Blue Dial still selling in high 30s, all of the Rolex 116509's, newer models still in the mid 30s, Rolex 116619 still 30-35. The only ones really down are the Rolex 116610LV & 116710BLNR...like you said 2-3K. Is that a Rolex 116618 on your wrist? Stunning piece if it is....

@@321tapas I have seen on all the online dealers that it is now selling in the 12's and 13's whereas a few months ago $15000-$17000. There are still many asking $15000 and $16000, but the high $12000-$14000 offers are new.

syl pascale thanks for the info! Any theory as to why the green one is losing interest and value? Do you think it’s simply the ‘lower value’ ones are being hit, or is there more to it? I’m interested because an AD literally phoned me up and offered me one! I had my name on a list from last year and had totally forgotten about it. I can’t imagine many people buying now anyway, but was really interested in why the green one specifically is suddenly available and seems to be the one being hit.

@@321tapas I would buy a 116610LV from an AD if I could it is a beautiful piece and the green sunburst dial is really nice. I have the 116613LB with the blue sunburst dial and the cerachrome bezel. I just think some of the pieces like the Hulk and the Batman were way overpriced on the secondary market and now we are seeing an adjustment. The Daytona is another story, the 116500 and 116520 SS models are not dropping. The best deals on a Daytona are the 116523 two tone and the 116509 in white gold (this one can be had for the same price as a 116500).
