The information itself is more valuable than gold indefinitely if you have the ability and means to act on it and get a start. Not even owning a jewelry business, but just investing in gold jewelry or pieces and understanding the tricks of the trade. It could save you so much more than what gold is worth- the information.

That negotiating was really painful to watch. The guy selling them kept repeating the same things like ‘honestly’ and ‘I can’t’ and only had one technique which was moving the watch over to the sold pile and then asking them to agree to a number. It worked once and he kept repeating it with no success because he had no other tools in his salesman toolbox. Sales is a hard skill to master so these people need to be trained beyond this.

These negotiations were painful. It makes no sense to nickel and dime for watches you can just go buy across the street. Trax and LB should collab on the rare watches nobody else can get.
