TLDR the dive bezel is used to track bottom times and surface intervals against dive tables to prevent decompression sickness. Not to track breathing gas. Just a heads up, the dive bezel is used to track bottom time & surface intervals - not to track air in your cylinder. Air is not consumed at a fixed rate, the amount of air a diver would use is tracked via a pressure gauge in BAR\PSI, and the rate of consumption is affected by diver fitness, cardio load and changes in depth. Air is consumed more rapidly the deeper you go. Before dive computers were available, divers would use dive tables to calculate how long their surface intervals between dives would need to be based on elapsed bottom time per dive. This is to keep within safe limits and prevent entering a state where decompression stops become necessary (deco diving isn’t going to be included in any non-commercial dive plan).

Hey Kevin - nice video quality, but perhaps you could have gotten your facts straight and practice handling these watches better.! 45 seconds to put on a rubber strap watch?! What did Rolex pay you for that? Pulling out crowns should not be this cumbersome, if one is prepared sufficiently. All comments below are justified - That is NOT a 47mm PAM 1305, but rather a PAM0682! Rolexes 40mm, in real life, always look too puny, regardless. Again, how much did Rolex pay you to attempt to make them more manly in this video? Nice try, but... In general, Submersibles look better, feel better, perform better and have better functions - - - and not every smo has one. And yes, "Get Around" - I would have rather gotten one with that Display Case Back myself. Unfortunately, without even changing the model number, OP decided to change that to a solid case back after teasing us with the great looks of a DCB. Still LUV this bitch'n piece of art!
