Jack Redfield I get it, it's slightly confusing. He lives in Canada, so I guess he used a standard Canadian Banana, which is shorter than the American or metric/European standardized bananas. It is a lot longer than the British one, though. Keep that in mind when converting to the banana you're used to. @3:42 - You may want a DAW or some synths that support MPE. Bitwig was the first to support it (I think), but Cakewalk, Garageband, Logic Pro, Reaper, Cubase among others support MPE natively now. You only need the ROLI dashboard to map Roli expressions to your "legacy" sounds for more expressivity from your Roli controller.

Finally an instrument that can express more organic sounds When playing a guitar or really any organic instrument the vocal quality comes from the musician . With a regular keyboard your so limited on how to express nuances .this keyboard allows so much more and to me really feels way more vocal like when I’m playing a guitar (Which allows slide, vibrato, pitch bend, tremolo, and modulation.) For the price nothing compares with this little guy...it well worth it to add to your studio or live rig.👍
@dougb705 жыл бұрын
@6:12 - you may need the touch block to be able to play chords (or fiddle with the software) as that is how you adjust how finger position effects pitch-bend. If you have mastered the keyboard, you can hit the keys pretty close to perfectly each time, and you can still adjust the final tonality (you may actually want to tweak the tuning like you do on a guitar). If you are new, you'll use the settings on the touch block to minimize the pitch-bend effect much like you expect on a keyboard.

My take is that this is excellent for mimicking the the fluidity of real instruments on the fly. Being able to greater vibrato with your fingers and use different techniques to regulate the intensity of your sound. It is very good for soundtracks, mainly orchestral. I own a Seaboard Block and a Seaboard Rise 25. The later I almost never travel with; I keep it at home. The Block is good to travel with; it's easy to carry and easy to use. And the "squishy" keys make for a lot of cool expressions. I bought them used on ebay. No way am I paying retail for them.

God, I want one of these so bad. Add a little bit of genuineness, or organic sound to my music.

I have only watched a few, but yes Andrew you are great! I am a classical pianist who has always wanted to play jazz but also am discovering synthesizers now at my old age, through a friend....I have had a digital piano for yes 30 years, but due for an uograde haha, but this would be SO fun. I like keyboards and singing, too.

Andrew you should do a video on what you think about the Musescore software, I would love to see that and I could also show you some neat tricks I have learned about from using it myself because it’s got a lot more than what you first think it does.

Hey Andrew! I would love to see you make an entire song using only a computer keyboard and a microphone. That would be sweet for all of us out there who have basically no equipment and limited software. Thanks!
