Not really, unless you want them to brood the eggs ! I have a similar setup

They do not need bedding. This also keeps it very clean and no maintenance required. If at first they are hesitant to use it, as what happened in my case, I placed hay in the nesting box. Then they started using it instead of laying on the ground. The hay was gone after a week and they've been using it with no issues. The hay did prevent the eggs from rolling so for that short time I had to manually get the eggs from each box.

Those chickens are saying FRAUD,,FRAUD,,,FRAUD....very intelligent chickens laying eggs in the second floor instead of the bottom floor where is easier & no metal chicken wire to hurt the chicken feet....Do a video about cows next & Bullshit😅
