Interesting to see the Evo’s making a comeback. They’re getting good at getting the power and grip to compete with gtrs and euros. I love it

Unfortunately this competition has been taken over by all the workshops that have unlimited budget for their workshop cars. The average bloke with a car built in his garage on jackstands can no longer have much fun anymore. I remember the days when all the cars you see were shitboxes.

rolling up with 600hp feels like a 100hp compared to these guys, ofcourse i dont hate i love all builds but i get u man for the people that do it on their own it's hard to compete

Everyone and their dog pulling up with 1200kW awds to the bigger events. Thankfully Calder Park still gets its fair share of SV6s and N/A XR6s to chop down the 1/4 at the occasional drag event lol.

As impressive and quick these are, they would get gapped at TX2k. Minimum hp is like 2500 with lambos hitting over 3000hp

@@A2J_Tim Harder for the rwds to compete at unprepped events like this with the sheer amount of power being pushed to the ground unfortunately. Even AWDs on drag radials were struggling for traction. Especially being what looks to be a 'road rego'd' event (so no ladder bar rear ends, etc.). I think he filmed every pass that happened on the night though.
@exoticspeedefy791610 ай бұрын
@@Zonda1996 Are there restrictions for radials there or something? I don't see how Supras and V8 there should struggle with traction. We have Supras here in the U.S without traction issues like that at these events doing faster runs
@Zonda199610 ай бұрын
@@exoticspeedefy7916 Hard to say. I don’t know the exact rules of this event but I’d say lack of prepped surface is the biggest killer here or maybe that supra’s getting dialled in and a good TCS is next to be programmed into the ECU. Could also be the tyres weren’t warmed up enough, etc.
