In case anyone was wondering: "Nelson's Blood" is a nickname for rum. When Admiral Horatio Nelson was killed during the Battle of Trafalgar, his body was placed in a cask of brandy for transport back to England, and the name came soon after.
@Cybetrexs3 ай бұрын
For context cause you left out what I’d think is an important bit, he was preserved in Brandy, the reason why it’s a nickname for rum is debated, the two main consensus being that A. People thought that rum would’ve been a more fitting alternative, or B. They mistakenly thought it was rum.

It’s funny I’ve seen so many of these, but this time I just appreciated Calm’s ability to keep in time with himself. It’s pretty impressive. I have so many memory’s of frustrated piano teachers and parents trying to get me to listen to the metronome lol. I don’t know how he does it, he’s not even wearing a head phone or something, singing along/playing along is one thing, but it looks like he’s just a straight up self synchronizer boss! That’s a SSSB for those who are unfamiliar.

@donaldbothe3518 Жыл бұрын
The British and the Americans have some still left. The uss constitution is still seaworthy and was built in the early 1800s and saw service in the war of 1812. They take it out of port once every few months to ensure seaworthiness and to turn it the other way. The British have a 1760s warship still seaworthy as well. Then there is the valsava (maybe misspelled), the Swedish flagship from the 1600s, is still around, but it is not seaworthy at all. It never was. Sank within the first hour due to poor construction
