Wonderful tutorial! Thanks a lot:) By the way, all the stamps you are using are wooden. I have resin 3d printer at home, I wonder if resin ones could work the same as you are using?
@JohnHasegawaCeramics3 жыл бұрын
I have not used a resin stamp for this, but is should work. Try it out and tell me how it goes. I would love to know.
@triciac10193 жыл бұрын
I think you have to some corn starch with the resin stamps. The corn starch will burn off when fired.

Have you ever tried holding the stamp verticle instead of horizontal and applying it while the wheel is spinning slowly. Applying pressure with a rib on the inside. Might have a cool effect.
@JohnHasegawaCeramics3 жыл бұрын
I have tried that and could not make it work. I have seen many potters do it very well but it never worked for me.

I really need to stop watching videos while I'm waiting for clay or glaze to dry. I rationalize it as continuing education. Deep down, I know it is just feeding my quarts/feldspar addiction. It's like a never ending cycle. For every project I cross off my list, 15 more show up. I'm guess I just have to keep plugging away till I learn better. 🙃
