I put a set on my Renegade XRS and use them all the time. So easy to use and easy to retract. Just lift your skis a little and they come back up. I usually use the throttle to get mine back up if you know what I mean. 😉 I am finally getting some snow here and will be riding tomorrow. Happy trails!

Had a similar product years ago on my MXZ 800 Adrenaline. They did work well on road crossings or pulling up for gas off the trail. The cons of the product, having to get off the sled every time to deploy them which meant always unplugging my helmet visor and lanyard. Other cons was when you are driving up to a gas pump, if the cement pad had a large lip or large pile of ice in front of the pumps I would get stuck. Other cons is they kicked up more snow if there was 4"s or more fresh snow on the ground (not groomed) or a ice layer on top of the snow while riding off trail. I had some serious chunks hit my shield riding off trail, IE lake riding and making wide casual turns. Eventually I removed them. But that was my experience 10 years ago. The design has not really changed except the spring load drop ( mine did not have that option) but your wheel is a bit thinner that what I had on mine. Post a review at the end of the season. I'd be curious.
@sledaddicz2 жыл бұрын
Hey Big Guy DIY. I haven't noticed any of these issues to be honest. Yes I do have to disconnect my helmet to deploy the wheels, but with E-Linq, it is part of my key and I just pull it off, walk over, and then click it back on to my sled. I have been using these wheels on all my sleds for about 8 years now.. so about 35,000 kms and they never skipped a beat or caused me problems. Cheers, Jesse

What kind of flooring is that in your trailer? Does that work well? Better then glides? Do you have any videos on this

Hey Andrew! The flooring I have is called decktred. It works amazing - way better then glides. Unfortunately I have no video on the flooring particularly as I installed it prior to starting the channel. Can you back off your trailer with the gap between the trailer and the ramp without issues? I’d like to see a video showing that.
@sledaddicz Жыл бұрын
No you can't back up over a lip/gap with the wheels. The wheels are spring loaded to flip up towards the front of the sled. So driving onto the trailer you can do no problem with a gap, but reversing out the wheels would pop up. All that means is you would have to stop and push them down again and then continue. I have a drive in drive out trailer so I rarely reverse mine out. Let me know if you have any other questions! I can tell you that this is one product after using that I cannot live without 6 sleds later. Cheers, Jesse

Hey Mitch! Try giving Qualipieces a call directly. I am not sure as I bought mine in October. I would agree it is largely disappointing that they appear out of stock in December, but COVID has wrecked havoc on many industries and they may have component shortages. Cheers, Jesse

You did not mentioned anything about the steel plates ?
@sledaddicz2 жыл бұрын
Hey Alain! Great point. For some reason I forgot to mention it but they definitely are necessary. Without the plates the skis end up touching the ground at the front with the wheels deployed. The metal plate goes on the floor of the ski, and then the rubber mount goes on top of that which the spindle rests on. Cheers, Jesse

The more I look at these the More I think that maybe they should not use such a tall thin wheel and Go More of like a skateboard Style wheel all You gotta do is pick that ski up just enough to get the carbides off the Pavement and the thing will Steerr wherever you want it to Go. or better yet retract into the center of the ski just in front of the spindle that would cut down spray since you get care packages throw that out if they like tell them you came up with it.

@@sledaddicz Qualipièces, Drummondville Quebec. 10 years huh, you must appreciate their products. I like the Rue Skis. I’ve tried other products, carbides etc. After 40 years of riding I don’t think there’s many products I haven’t tried. Personally, Shapers and Deuce Bars are the products to beat.
@sledaddicz2 жыл бұрын
@@b.pur9981 That's the beauty of having all of these great companies making options for us sledders. Personally I found shapers to be very heavy steering effort and deuce bars (along with every other dually carbide) push in corners without enough bite. Thanks for tuning in. Mike
@b.pur99812 жыл бұрын
@@sledaddicz Oh you’re absolutely right about the Shaper’s, definitely heavy steering. Personally I do not use them anymore, however my son does and he’s stronger than all of us put together. As for the Deuce bars pushing, yeah they can. Certainly do in heavy snow conditions, the sled feels like it’s drifting sometimes. I do however find little to no darting, and most times, not all, any ill effects can be tuned out, specially on any X or XRS models. I’m in agreement with you about the effect most dual runners have, I’m completely done with Snowtrackers. The sweet spot is just far too small on them. Dually’s seem to ball up with snow and you end up drifting through corners which on a closed course is perfectly fine but with blind corners and a bit of speed, can be life threatening. Here’s a set up people should try. Aquire a set of DS skis and put on a set of the long HRP runners. Looking at them you wouldn’t think they work well, however they are extremely light steering, perfect for anyone having to compensate due to an injured shoulder or wrist or any part that goes into steering effort. There’s so many products out there. I laugh (silently of course) now when I hear of people complaining about steering or shocks on their Brand New SkiDoo snowmobile. Watch some videos and get a DooTalk account. Ask questions…. The real beauty is that there are so many options for the ever changing conditions and terrain.
