Older video, but if possible let me know opinion on 4710 this far in? I got a 4450 non loaded for heavier stuff, but am about to pull trigger on 4710 for straight loader and hay work. I got a decent price for a 5711 but heard they feel well underpowered

Just took delivery today of the Massey 4160 RB which I think is just the newer version of that Vermeer baler. The one we had before made really good tight bales
@BagwellFarms5 жыл бұрын
the 4160 is the same as the 504pro Vermeer agco massey ferguson builds it for Vermeer their identical there way different than the M we have I hope you like it there a really nice looking baler I ran a prototype of it at the sunbelt ag expo last fall

looks like the baler is fine you have to watch your bale for uniformity move side to side i think cab tractors with a/c is got people thinking they don't have to do as much Vermeer 505 super I was what we ran. we ran it from 1992 through 2007 that was a tough baler and was still making great bales wish y'all the best.

I had a 504L them an the I were a completely different baler than the 504M they were way better in my opinion. Of course they only built the baler I have for a year or two that's generally a good sign it was a screw up! But I've never had these issues with the Vermeer L new Holland, krone or claas that we've had recently. who ever heard of such a crazy thing side to side that's about like those crazy bars on the monitor that move around I cant ever figure those out someone with heat exhaustion must have designed that you got to watch out for that it can cause brain damage!! Anyway thanks for watching wish you the best!

We had a 504m and we finally traded it off after 63xx bales. It was a constant headache between always having to change bearings and then I got to where I couldn’t keep belts in it. Also the net wrap system was a constant headache

I got a John Deere 458 Mega wide plus baler with 13,000 bales no bearing trouble. Only put clutches in the pto shaft and took links out of two separate chains. And replaced all belts.

How much do your bales weight on average with the 504m and what is the diameter/height of the bales. Great video love seeing hay rolled up.

There is a video The Basics: Understanding ISO 5675 Hydraulic Rear Remote Couplers Right at the end said there are holes on the couplers that need to be lined up to hook and unhook the hoses.

awd3264 yea they got little tabs it still don’t help they need to get rid of flat face couplers I can see for a specialty coupler so people don’t get confused but not on a loader when there’s something better an easier

We are shopping right now too. Have narrowed it down to the MF4160RB and the Deere 460M/R. I really like the new precutter MegaWide pickup on the Deere, and the netwrap is on the back which I prefer. Plus is a bit cheaper, so can afford to go to ISOBUS. Not sure if you have a Krone dealer close? I didn’t mind their Comprima machine, looks sturdy
@BagwellFarms5 жыл бұрын
Luke B no offense but if I had a suggestion I’d get the Massey it’s a lot more baler than the Vermeer/deere R/0 balers if you do go with the 0 get the Vermeer R it’s the same baler other than the paint an they have heavier chain on them you’ll save around $5000 probably I’ve looked at the krone it’s built well but the thing with it is it’s a chamber baler I’ve watched them an in dry hay they don’t make as good of a bale as a Massey or claas an it’s more money
@Zomsky5 жыл бұрын
Bagwell Farms that’s good advice, I do like the Massey baler, sadly the nearest dealer is about a 1.5 hour trip. Not too bad I guess. We do all dry hay too, so want something that will do tight bales. I don’t think Vermeer actually sell balers here anymore in Australia 😑

They say it takes any baler awhile to make a pretty Bale. Maybe that's why the bales aren't as nice class. Since it has had as many bales ran through it
@BagwellFarms5 жыл бұрын
Bristol Bishop Bishop nah when the claas caught the Vermeer a few years ago it still made a prettier bale normally with Vermeer the bales get uglier the older the baler at least that’s the way the others we’ve had have been this one made a prettier bale at 2000 than it does now
@bristolbishopbishop42005 жыл бұрын
@@BagwellFarms I'm not going to say your wrong because whatever you have ran for years you know better than anyone else. Our rb450 they said that it would have to wear in to make pretty bales and so far that has stuck true.

I really don't see what you're complaining about
@BagwellFarms5 жыл бұрын
Doug Norris well looking at it from the video I’d think I was crazy to! On this day it was perfect if it ran like this 75% of the time we used it I’d never complain what you don’t see is normally the bales are so loose I can stick my entire hand in the side of the bale an I have been able to stick my arm in half way up my forearm no matter how tight you set the density! Also the net tears one out of every 20 an it generally plugs up if your not extremely careful I just put a entire new set of teeth in so that’s helped the feeding issues another thing is in Johnson grass the twin augers wrap bad an it makes it to where you can’t bale it or stalky crops like it last but not least it’s slow compared to the claas we have you can stop in the Vermeer watch the claas go by then it stop an dump an gone before you even get the hatch open I need to demonstrate this on video so it makes sense what I’m talking about
