Great video, coming over from freshwater to salt. Loads of new species to learn, videos like this help me picture what I'm feeling through the line.

Got an ascender + buoy rigged for hauling now, towed behind the boat. Much easier!

@ I was gantae suggest an Alderney Ring, that will mak life a lot easyer for yea, great stuff, keep the videos coming freen 👌🏻

@@kintakintyea Yeah, I have one for hauling the anchor. Ascender works the same way, but doesn't let the rig drop back down when the boat stops. Like an Alderney Ring with a jamming cleat. I explain how it works on my more recent videos. Last time I was off I dropped the rig in 74 metres. Long haul back from that depth!!

Great video, those Cod are aggressive, not how I thought at all. Explains why I had a huge bite on a Whiting livbait from the shore resulting in a 7lb one.

Most aggressive fish taking the bait are Ling. Even Conger Eels are more hesitant!

Hi Interesting video . Just one thing , the sound of the rig costantly bouncing is a little bit irritating , you might get more prolonged views if you edit out the noise and put some other sound effect or music in its place , Just a thought 👍

@@pauledwards1428 Thanks for your comment. I prefer to hear the sounds the mic picks up from the depths. Too many videos are spoiled by pointless background music.

@@pauledwards1428 Have thought about adding some padding to the base of the rig to lessen banging noise.

@@selkie72 Maybe it's the buoy pulling the rig through wind and wave action. Possibly a few metres of chain between the buoy line and the rig, which could lie on the seabed and act as a sort of buffer, would solve the problem. Maybe you'll need something more substantial, like a lobster pot, instead of the chain. 8 -)

@@mikewilson631 I have to use a small float above the camera rig to keep the bridle ropes out of the cameras view. I have a small lead weight on the line below the surface buoy to keep the excess rope oof the surface.
