I’ve been thinking about doing this for years… And I finally did it. This jam track is based on the chord progression for “Gimme Shelter” by the Rolling Stones, It’s deceptively simple, though to actually play the guitar part you have to tune to open E tuning. personally, I would rather just jam over it in standard tuning!
The chords are just C# B A B, then a blues riff on C#, so you can play C# minor blues, but you can also tweak that 3rd up on the C# chord, because it’s major instead of minor.

Try Renzo's Machine Gun jam or a 12bar 7th chord blues and play both the altered and unaltered over the 7th chord. To hear ideas, ck out Miles' Tribute to Jack Johnson. McLaughin gives a clinic on a single 7th chord.

It’s hard to make a track dedicated solely to the altered scale, because it is so unstable. You can try any track that uses just a I and a V chord, and play altered on the V chord.

I don't even know those weird Keif tunings. I guess for E one would tune the A down and the g up... Ah. G&L bass. No wonder I like the bass in your tracks. I played an SB2 for 15yrs. The weight killed me, but who cares with pickups like Leo made near his passing. Rip your head off...
