Another stunning video Sensei Steve, I got a question, what is the difference between ashi guruma and o guruma? I mean , is it just the position of the leg, in o guruma, the leg is bent and over the knee and in ashi guruma the leg is the knee and the foot is leg, is that the only difference, the others step of the wall are the same? Pull my opponent and then put the leg as a trip to complete the throw? I still dont get the difference.thanks 4 all your content, you channel made me love judo even though I got my left arm dislocated, I came back training 4 videos like these. Greeeting from Lima-Peru

Thanks for your comment David. We have some videos on both O Guruma and Ashi Guruma that explains the differences. Check in our playlists that are titled Throws and Takedowns, Core Skills of Freestyle Judo or Ashi Waza Leg Techniques. I think you will find some useful information at these playlists that we have. Thank you for watching in Lima!

Is this not considered the same as a scissor sweep?
@welcomematstevescott5 жыл бұрын
No, it's a different technique.

@@welcomematstevescott so you think this would be legal in an IBJJF tournament?
@welcomematstevescott5 жыл бұрын
I don't know. It's best to check with a BJJ referee.

What's they name of this throw?

It could go by different names, but most likely, it would be considered a Yoko Wakare.
