it's cool that you show just how complicated understanding the minutia of a seemingly simple move can be--as a one-stripe white belt I know the feels!

Interested why you are locking the triangle on the neck side (hantai sankaku)? Seems overly complicated for a white belt who doesn't even know how to do the basic front triangle no?
@Jitsover508 ай бұрын
That was what was being taught in class. This was not a beginner class. Though we have them at the academy.

I’m a 2 stripe white belt, and been training 9 months. I like to Think I’m pretty chilled out when rolling especially with higher belts, but I find I then allow them just to abuse me 😂 I try and not frame harsh on there necks when in bottom side control etc but then just get smashed on the floor. Is this normal as I feel maybe me being too nice is affecting my Jits when I’m being pinned on the ground 😂 any advice? Love your videos too! I think there trying to choke me and I’m being to kind back 😂
@Jitsover508 ай бұрын
Higher belts should respect that you are a white belt going easy and should return the favor. Many times when I roll with a white belt I could submit them 10 times in a round but I don't. I may never submit them. Since I am letting them work while sharpening my edge. Roger Gracie had no high level training partners when he opened his academy in London. Yet was still able to increase his skill just off white belts. Thank you for the support!
@D4nB01618 ай бұрын
@@Jitsover50 yes some do. But I’d say most don’t. Maybe I’m too passive. Even with any submissions I don’t crank anything on quick I do it gradually and then they can try and escape it and the roll carries on. Then when I get in somebodys sub they just wack it on straight away. I think I’m trying to gauge if I need to be more aggressive to improve. Maybe aggressive isn’t the correct word but you get the gist 😂 keep up the top vids man 👏
@Jitsover508 ай бұрын
I think you should NEVER crank on a submission. It shouldn't need a crank. lol. Keep doing what you are doing. In the early stages it will seem frustrating but down the line you will understand the move more deeply. IMO. @@D4nB0161
