This is painful for me. I and other fans of Kelli/Amanda have already been degraded for sharing our thoughts and feelings about it on social media but the way SVU is put together; the way it touches hearts, the line between character and the real person blurs. This is like actually saying goodbye to someone that the audience has watched grow and who has been there for the victims, for us. I'm not saying that this will happen, I just need to put it out there: Sometimes shows do best when they don't linger. When they finish strong. SVU is in it's 24th season and it's amazing. Some have said they won't watch after Amanda leaves. I always hoped she never would until the show was canceled. It's my opinion that such pivotal characters as Amanda and especially Olivia Benson shouldn't leave within the show because the public views them as real people who are there for them. When the show does end, Olivia still needs to be in that department, fighting for victims. There's no other way to go that won't let the fans down. I might have been happier if they had done the best last season they could think of this year, with Elliot and Amanda and Olivia and any other alumni they could bring in, standing together, to stay together forever at SVU while the curtain closed. I don't want to watch the show linger until they can't keep it alive and it just fades out and they make a silly mistake with Mariska. I don't blame Kelli for leaving but this will continue to happen the longer they string show along 😔

@@RebeccaHindle That's what I've started hearing and I just can't understand :( Kelli's done so much for SVU as Amanda. I feel that more than any other character, she's portrayed so much growth. And not just as a detective but as a person and that's something the viewers needed to see. But she's not done yet! Amanda is daring to become the person she was always meant to be and I want to see that. Who would they want to replace her with? They've lost too many OG characters and other's that they've brought in haven't worked out. I love Olivia but this can't just be her show, Elliot's on a different one, Fin isn't always there... how much longer do they really expect any of them to stay after nearly two and half decades! Better to keep a strong cast together while they can.

I personally never felt that Kat fit with squad. The actress was great, her character was well written... This is the problem I'm having: They keep bringing in new people and it's not working. So maybe they thought "Amanda's happy now. Let's kick her out and bring in more newcomers until we find one that does work." I know that a show has to stay fresh but maybe they should stop trying to fix what's not broken. Either keep the cohesive cast that they have, that the viewers love or cancel the show! But you're right, if they keep this up they'll only have themselves to blame for no show because they didn't listen to what the viewers wanted 😕

Amanda is a wonderful and well developed character who finally has happiness in her life as she deserves and they decide to shoot her it’s awful. I love this scene because of the important conversation and recognizing her trauma and how much she loves her girls and Carisi but she shouldn’t have gone through that she’s been through enough. I love Amanda and Carisi together and we deserve to see more of there story

Second Time that a female friendship is ruined : it happened first when they wrote Cabot to go away to a safer place. Benson and Cabot were friend. Then it was only Stabler and Benson and their romance/partnership that was going nowhere. Nothing happened in her life (Benson) : she was working and working. After Stabler walked away Amaro came in and she found baby Noah... She's been promoted. And Rollins was in the squadroom. These two developped their friendship : Benson found her balance.

I think this really shows the lack of continuity with the series and Olivia’s ego. If Olivia cared when Rollins was shot, she would have been at the hospital (she was with Dodds and others) - not walking in a park and sitting on a bench with someone who was not her officer. It’s very clear they were going to kill Amanda off but changed last minute. The constant promotion of EO, crossovers and past experiences with Noah - it’s clear Rollins was slowly being let go. As a character who was loyal and worked through her own troubles, I think it’s very disrespectful to Amanda after 12 years to be treated this way. The least that can be offered is giving her and Carisi a positive ending.

Olivia came to see her in a hospital room when Amanda gave birth to her daughter. They were with her and Fin grabbed flowers or a huge Teddy Bear when she was going. But Amanda should stay on the show and come in to the squadroom to help the investigation. .. providing some explanations about mental desorders ,,,just like Dr Huang used to do.

I think 💬🤔 because of covid they weren't really allowing any visitors to see her other than family kind of like Kat's character Jamie when she got shot 😧 but looking back Olivia has been there at the hospital 🏥 and for her plenty of times before in the past when she first got shot when she was about to have her baby in season 17 all that time she was going through stuff with her sister when she shot her sister's boyfriend all that you cant deny or discredit those times I guess....

I don't know why but I always thought it was just rollins for paying back the debt of her being there for her in the beginning and not firing her when she has the chance I guess

(The actor was on his way to Broadway and his character needed an end...he passed away - Olivia still feels guilty for that). ,,, Now they want to bring in new faces and save money. I can empathize with how Rollins feels:/ When I was younger I went through some things and I didn’t always deal with in a healthy manner. I would deliberately put myself in positions to where I could’ve been seriously hurt or worse! I met my husband when we were 15yo but we didn’t get together until we were 19-20 not too long after moving in together we got married & had our first child! I had so much I actually cared about & was terrified to loose:( They’re are my entire 🌎 My babies are like air 🌬 to me! I couldn’t breath without them.. My husband is the 🔐 that unlocks my ❤ everything my ♥️ allows me to feel is owed to him….

SVU has always been my favorite show. The last 2 episodes just didn’t seem the same to me. More like the new show with Melloni. Don’t care for the new lines they’re playing. And totally disappointed about Kelli. Done see me enjoying or watching this any longer.
