Rollo Printer Review - From The Perspective of an Amazon FBA Seller

As Amazon sellers, we use a TON of labels and Ink to go along with it!
From the beginning of my selling career, I have used a thermal (DYMO) for printing my FNKSU labels. But, I’ve still used my Laser printer for the shipping labels.
Over the last 6 months or so I have been wanting to try the Rollo Printer because they’ve basically been stalking me on Facebook.
So, I decided to pull the trigger and give it a go.
The big appeal to me was the fact that the printer would do BOTH the FNSKU labels AND the Shipping labels.
Since I use the extension Label Resizer I am also able to print the expiration dates right on my FNSKU labels! Game changer, right?!
In this video I show you the pros/cons of the Rollo Printer and how fast it is compared to a DYMO printer.
Stats: I printed 10 FNSKU labels on both the Rollo Printer and the Dymo Printer.
Roll = 4 seconds

Put Half the amount of 4x6 shipping labels under the roll of the other labels, That way you can have both labels in 1 of the label holder boxes and it's easyier to swap and change the labels in the printer plus gives you back a bit of room cause you won't have 2 label holder boxes

Thanks, this really helps. I just bought a Rollo but I can't seem to get it to print labels that are 4" wide and 2" tall from a roll for inventory. What would be the best software to do that?

Just got my Rollo thermal printer, I'm having problems with it printing the 1x2 labels. It's wanting to print on the side and use about 14 labels before it's done. I'm using Windows 10 obviously I've got the settings wrong but not sure how to fix this I need help!!! Please

Nice video- I actually work for a small fulfillment center and we use all kinds of equipment (tons of people send us their FBA products to label pack and ship). One thing to note on your DYMO, it's printing way slower than it should, check your printer settings and make sure it isn't on "best" quality. You don't need that, fast printing is fine. The rollo is a nice step up before getting into a more industrial barcode printer which will run you around $1k or more. If you are doing a lot of single sku units, like 100+ , I would highly recommend getting a label rewinder and label gun, will save you lots and lots of time, but again, that's for volume of single skus and doesn't fit the retail arbitrage business model very well, mostly for wholesale buyers. Very nice video for beginning folks who aren't familiar with labeling and barcoding options.

Very nice video. I have a dymo 450 turbo and I have had nothing but trouble printing labels with it. I thought i could print them out in one big batch just the 30 ups. I am a big fan of the rollo i have been wanting to add that to my office printing situation. I see alot of people putting the labels on the ground and using a paper weight to hold them on your desk if your not using them. I know its weird but it might be better then whats going on with you. Alot of people just use one printer to print 1 size of label as well. Maybe use the dymp for fba labels and use the rollo for your shipping. Either way thanks for the video i want a rollo even more now lol. If you ever find a better way to print your labels please make a video! Thanks

Why can't you stack the label holders for the rollo? Place the fan fold above the FNSKU labels, maybe on a shelf.

I use an extension to convert the labels to individual instead of full page. thesellingfamily.com/resizer After that, I have it set for 3x1 labels for FNSKU and 4x6 for shipping.

While I was on the Rollo website just now for something else I found they have a tutorial for doing the adjustments yourself using Adobe Acrobat Reader. It looks like Rollo also set up a website that converts an Amazon FBA label for free. Thought I would share for anyone who is not at the level where they can pay the monthly membership cost for the resizer. Great review! thank you. Going to ask for one for Christmas. Wonder if someone has a holder that holds both the fanfold 4x6 and Fnsku labels in the same unit that way there's no switching between the two?! Otherwise I agree seems like a real pain. Again thank you for the video!

Thanks for the video. The speed on the Rollo is amazing!! I just got the demo a few months back and now I wish I had gotten this one. Question about putting the the expiration dates on the FNSKU sticker - I thought they had to be on their own sticker and 36pt type or has Amazon changed that or did I misunderstand? I will be so excited to be wrong!!

The 36pt font is only for the case pack (a manufacturer case). For the label it just needs to be readable.

there are stackable trays for blank labels!! you may want to use folded labels instead of rolls. Or, you could switch to deeper trays and just have the labels/roll loose in the tray (i've done this lots over the years, it works...). anyway, thanks for the review! i bought an early Rollo, and have had a ton of difficulty with it. the temp/print is either burnt or non-existent. i'll have to try it again...
