Going through your vid and hit this one - the title got my attention. You sir have a fantastic teaching way about you. No shouting or putting down. Very pleased to hear and see you interacting with your son-in-law like that. You will have a fine operator from him with your style. Outstanding.

First off well done to the both of you. Second a big tip of the hat to ya Ron. What you did there isn't easy. I'm sure you could have done that job in half the time. But you let him take the controls and learn. And you didn't rush him or get frustrated but encouraged him and took it slow. You're a good teacher for him and great example for the rest of us. All the best, Jay

Ron, i gotta say I stumbled on your videos by accident and can't stop watching. you are exactly the kind of boss this world needs. you're about spreading your knowledge so your people can do their job the right way. in this video with talon, you are so calm as you educate him. you could have just done it yourself and gone home quicker, but you took your time, inch by inch, helping him learn. please keep these videos coming. i can't afford to donate as i'd like to, but please take my good vibes.

I'm a machinist by trade, and I've had to train many a candidate for the job. If they are too busy on the phone to pay attention, they're done. I have patience, but that blasts the threshold. If they pay attention, but don't think through the process, i.e., they push that button, then this one on the right... I'm gonna be doing what Ron is doing here, but I'm going to have serious reservations about ability.

Worked heavy construction all my life . I was employed by a bridge building company before I retired(Toebe Construction Wixom Mi great people, great company). As a field mechanic we were responsible for moving all the cranes (up to 350 tons 17 teen truck loads) very tight conditions and every one different .Loved it, sure it's the middle of the night ,there's eight inches of snow on the ground ,still snowing with more coming.(we had very ballsy lowboy drivers) When you look at the job, make a plan it's great, when the plan does not work it's even better, know you learn more .Rigging is an art (maybe science) sounds like you enjoy it as much as I did. PLEASE STAY SAFE. I had more fear of the traffic then I ever had of the load . GREAT VIDEOS

Hi, Once again a good job well done. I have a little challenge for you Ron: How about letting Tallon do a complete job, and you just waching and making sure that he's doing everything the right and safe way?
@rayford217 жыл бұрын
I think Ron has the right idea by teaching Talon with hands-on experience along with step by step instruction. Doing this with Talon several times will iron out most of the recurring mistakes over time and will save his company a lot of hassle saving time, and accident headaches. A great investment.
@helgelarsen48507 жыл бұрын
Yes, I totally agree with you on that. I have a good reason for making this challenge; First of all, Ros is doing a great job teching Tallon. I see a lot of "do this -- , take that -- , set it there -- ". I espect that Tallon has joined Ron on a lot more rescues then beeing present here on KZbin. So by now I think that Tallon has had plenty of hours of step-by-step and hands-on experience. But there is one thing I don't see to much of, and that is the "why's". "why do you use this -- , why do you set it there, and not there? -- , and so on. As a driver to be rescued, I don't want to be rescued by a "robot". that has been told how to do a spesific job. I want to be rescued by a person that considers all aspects and possibilities present. To maximize the chance of succsess. No two jobs are the same, they all requrie different approch-strategies. A different set of "how's and why's". By wathing Ron's videos, I know that Tallon is familiar with the truck and the gear. I just think that it's about time to turn the table. Letting Tallon prove himself by doing a rescue all by himself from start to finninsh. Step-by-step, telling Ron the how's and WHY's. And Ron beeing passive and just waching, ofcause beeing ready to stop the operation if he disagrees on something. (Always Security first!!!!) And one last thing: Ok, shit happens, not every rescue goes perfect. Even if all aspects are well thought trough, so we all make mistakes. The most importent thing when shit happens, it to take whatever lesson possible from that mistake. So that the next time, we come to a job a little smarter than last time..... Keep safe, drive carefully.

Hello Mr. Pratt. I'm new to your channel and I have to say you Sir are true Professional in your business. I have watched so a lot of your videos and it may sound silly but I play a game of "What would you do" on each one to see if I was right or if I was wrong and I was right on them all except this one. I'm no spring chicken and have done a lot of picking things up and moving them just never with a wreckers just excavators,front-end loaders and lots of jacks. I've been out of trucking business for a few years now (20+ years in)do to an injury to my back left me unable to walk. Doctors said I would be wheelchair bound for the rest of my life.That was 2 years ago well I'm walking with the help of a walker and now I have a new goal. I want to get my hands on that Rotator !! I love that truck! I'm not saying it will ever happen its just a goal for to set so I can say "Yeah I can do THAT now!". God Bless You and Your Team! Stay Safe!!

Ron another good video, but something I noticed when you were placing your cones on this one. I like all the safety you put into your work so here is an idea for you. On the inside of your four equipment doors maybe add a Red and white reflective strip ( Like the ones used on trailers so vehicles can see them at night). This way when you are getting equipment out of the truck and the doors are open they are more visible especially at night. Just a thought I would pass along.
@RonPratt7 жыл бұрын
