When I lived in northern Ontario a bunch of us used to go across the border to a small town in Quebec to party. One night coming home about 3 A.M. we saw a pickup like the one in this video on its side in the ditch. We stopped and offered to help, four big guys we were, and we put it back on its wheels. A few miles down the road there it was again in a ditch, this time on its roof. Once again we turned it right and when the driver went to get behind the wheel I was in his way telling him that he was not going to drive another foot and the truck was staying there unless someone else drove. He didn't argue and got in the passenger side and passed out as soon as he was seated. As usual, I'm amazed at how people blow right past you while your advertising and trying to get your job done. God bless and have a merry Christmas, you and your family.

One thing I really do appreciate seeing are the safety measures you take to ensure everyone's safety. Earlier this year we have a roll over crash down the street from my house. I watched a local tow company take 2 hours to recover the truck. First guy called in a second truck, figured they were going to use the second to roll it while the first held it from sliding down the hill. Instead the dragged it while still on its side on to a rollback and strapped it down like that. I can appreciate the quick professional response on you had on this job.

Beautiful recovery although had it been myself, I would have gotten in front of the casualty, ran a line through a snatch block anchored to a post on the guard rail with a strap and pulled it back on it's wheels, thus being set up to tow to the next cross over.Iv'e done this hundreds of times but as you know, there's more than one way to skin a cat. If the vehicle hasn't lost any critical fluids or suffered any structural damage then the quickest and safest way to clear the road is to drive it away. Rally drivers do it all the time and, with due respect, the biggest shock to this vehicle was landing back on its wheels. Your biggest problem would be making sure that he didn't abscond without paying your bill. In this case, the driver seemed to be appreciative of the way in which the situation had been handled, both by the police and by you, and I would like to think that you offered to give the vehicle a quick check-over once you were back at your workshop. Best wishes for the birthday which is celebrated by millions but recognised by few!

Probably because it's a tow truck and normally you don't have to slow down unless it's stopped and attending an accident. They are expecting to see and looking for an ambulance/firetruck thinking that's what they can here but the truck is blocking there vision and by the time they realize that it's the Tow truck that has the siren going they have already gone past. Not many people would be savvy as to tow trucks being allowed sirens.
