When I lived in northern Ontario a bunch of us used to go across the border to a small town in Quebec to party. One night coming home about 3 A.M. we saw a pickup like the one in this video on its side in the ditch. We stopped and offered to help, four big guys we were, and we put it back on its wheels. A few miles down the road there it was again in a ditch, this time on its roof. Once again we turned it right and when the driver went to get behind the wheel I was in his way telling him that he was not going to drive another foot and the truck was staying there unless someone else drove. He didn't argue and got in the passenger side and passed out as soon as he was seated. As usual, I'm amazed at how people blow right past you while your advertising and trying to get your job done. God bless and have a merry Christmas, you and your family.

Ron, I enjoy watching your channel and seeing all the great work you do. I'm sure a lot of people don't appreciate all the hard work you guys do. One thing I really do appreciate seeing are the safety measures you take to ensure everyone's safety. A friend of mine and her boyfriend were killed while on a "standard" hitching to a tow truck and what you do is heartwarming. So on behalf of my late friend, her boyfriend and myself thank you. Keep up the excellent work and staying safe. May God keep you all at Midwest safe during your call-outs.

Earlier this year we have a roll over crash down the street from my house. I watched a local tow company take 2 hours to recover the truck. First guy called in a second truck, figured they were going to use the second to roll it while the first held it from sliding down the hill. Instead the dragged it while still on its side on to a rollback and strapped it down like that. I can appreciate the quick professional response on you had on this job.

As my dear departed dad used to say "it's always nice to watch a good one'! And you sir, are a good one. I love to watch you're videos to marvel at, not only how organised your trucks are, not only do you know where everything is, but you know exactly what you need and where it needs to go. Also, you are so appreciative of the assistance and help you get from all the other services too. And how you didn't give out about the people who wouldn't let you out at the junction when you had to turn your lights and siren on. If that had been me, I would have had lots of choice words. Keep up the good work and the fantastic videos! May God keep you safe on your daily endeavours, its a dangerous job you do.

@@zuestoots5176 Oil from sump can travel backwards through crankcase breather and into air intake. Once it starts, it uses the oil as fuel, and immediately goes to mechanical speed limit. This generates enough of a vacuum to pull oil from sump into intake, and this continues until oil runs dry, seizing the engine. I only know this because it happened to a Landrover Defender I once drove. It didn't end well.

Great recovery time Ron. Those folks stuck in the traffic don't like sitting there. I love those folks who refuse to yield right of way to emergency vehicles. You can sit there all day with flashing lights & siren, & nobody thinks anything of it. You made that roll over look easy. I'm surprised the guy insisted on driving after you flipped it back on the wheels. He really does need to get the truck checked out.

Typically, people seem to ignore sirens. Especially if they are attached to recovery trucks. Today you are operating my favorite unit in the fleet. Beautiful recovery although had it been myself, I would have gotten in front of the casualty, ran a line through a snatch block anchored to a post on the guard rail with a strap and pulled it back on it's wheels, thus being set up to tow to the next cross over.Iv'e done this hundreds of times but as you know, there's more than one way to skin a cat. Great job.

If the vehicle hasn't lost any critical fluids or suffered any structural damage then the quickest and safest way to clear the road is to drive it away. Rally drivers do it all the time and, with due respect, the biggest shock to this vehicle was landing back on its wheels. Your biggest problem would be making sure that he didn't abscond without paying your bill. In this case, the driver seemed to be appreciative of the way in which the situation had been handled, both by the police and by you, and I would like to think that you offered to give the vehicle a quick check-over once you were back at your workshop. Best wishes for the birthday which is celebrated by millions but recognised by few!

I've got to believe he's got a tow hook or two on the front that would have worked just as well. Saves turning around twice.

Great video, great work. I will attest to those Rangers (Mazda B4000 in this case) being tanks. Anything short of a hole in the block, they wont stop.

Ron, I am still amazed at what appears to be an ongoing disregard by many vehicle drivers for not yielding to you when rolling with lights, siren, and air horn. All I can says is, "they better hope one day they are not waiting for you to arrive on the scene". As always, very quick and efficient response. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and God Bless, to you and the family!

Edward Page , we can tell Ron to change the company name to Midwest Truck and HEARING AID Company. Seems he’d would be busier than he already is. People are so oblivious.

Meh… slicktops and unmarkeds have enough problems with visiblity and compliance I'm not to surprised people aren't hopping to it to get out the way.

Probably because it's a tow truck and normally you don't have to slow down unless it's stopped and attending an accident. They are expecting to see and looking for an ambulance/firetruck thinking that's what they can here but the truck is blocking there vision and by the time they realize that it's the Tow truck that has the siren going they have already gone past. Not many people would be savvy as to tow trucks being allowed sirens.

Happens with anything lights and sirens unless it's a cop...I worked as an EMT for a few years and people don't care at all. Might as well shut the siren off as everyone's more important than you in their own mind.
