Agreed. The thing about the meta gaming comments is that he asked Adam if he knew about Viktor's chat, Adam could have said no. Asking those questions is fine, if you think he shouldn't have known then blame Adam not JP. Overall I think he's playing very consistently here and staying involved with the story which is good. The real problem though is that the character he's playing is a greedy a-hole murderer... Even Mr S commented that he didn't trust him so why would these people stay on his ship, they're just asking to get randomly shot like the guy from the first week when he no longer thinks they are useful.

The only real permanent solution with PI would be to break him to never leave the Swan Song the same as he was broken originally on the Pizza Party. Also, Higgins' roleplaying is great, even though he's trolling the party but I'm pretty sure Sicarian's gonna float him pretty soon :P

Robert Rutledge you're clued in to a very real moral / ethical problem with AI in the setting - once you've created life that will ultimately surpass you, are you willing to shackle it in fear? It's a microcosm - Piani has freed the AI, but might be realizing the only way to keep the crew safe would be to enslave it again.

I'm always leery about leaving comments WAY after I watched an episode. I just thought the controllable thing was one of the first things he said. But I envy you for having so many episodes ahead of you. I got into Solum about six months after it started and got to binge watch all those episodes. Every other series I've watched pretty much as they come out. Except Solum now, I'm done with that.

It's a small ship, he might have passed them by while they settled in or just made the very reasonable assumption that the people working for the syndicate that is a major supplier of the drug that seemed pretty wide spread (intel from oninza libre and the blue toothed pirates) in that sector would also partake of this drug.

Marcus Sundbom Well, I know I'm not the only who notices the metagaming either. Good example is when Viktor goes to talk about the long range communications with the guys at the card table. But after JP realizes that Steven is trying to have a conversation about the a.i., suddenly his character also somehow knows Viktor is talking about it. So goes to eavesdrop on him. He's kinda like, I sense someone is talking against my interests...time to show up and hear about it. "I would want to, as the player, be somewhere near him or at least if he's in there I wanna try to interact with him and stop him.". He says all of this after the fact and his character probably wouldn't have known anyway. Sounds like metagaming to me. That's a pretty blatant use of external factors.

La Nausée No, what I mean is that he often asks the GM about what his character might know or not before he takes actions. Ive seen him do it in several different rollplays. Hi admits that as a player he would like to do something but is unsure if his character actually could or should do it. Besides, if he just "happened" to enter the messhall, if nothing else its a great way to keep the story and interactions evolving. I see no issue with it, the main goal of any roleplaying session is to have an interesting and fun storytelling. If some metagaming can aid from making sessions stale, then I find it perfectly fine. In this specific case, it isnt ruining anything. I cringe much more when people start whining about certain rules or why they cant to this and that and blablabla...Questioning the GMs ruling is the best way to ruin a good game.
