@@SparrowNoblePoland You’ve missed the point - under hard braking, especially in a heavy car like this, the weight shift will mean that the rear wheels become light or break traction, while the front traction will remain in tact... as a result, the rear will shift left /right as it breaks traction or becomes relatively light. By remaining flat, the friction is kept more even between the front and back. Not to mention, he was ‘comparing to other RR cars’ which are much heavier and more susceptible to this than many other cars.
@SparrowNoblePoland2 жыл бұрын
@@MKu64 Let me put it this way; in older cars the effect you're talking about would or would not occur depending on driver's technique and tactics (sometimes you want to 'shift lock' to make car turn at a speed excessive for the car in a specific corner). In newer cars like this you have stability control, and sometimes even rev-equaliser that prevent this from happening. Also, I was referring to standard properties of a car- if you downshift at low rpms or don't downshift while engine braking at all, even LADA will keep a straight line.

I did own a car that was 50 years old, wasn't different from cars cars 70 old, and I could take my hands off steering wheel at 170kph, accelerate, brake hard, whatever. It did keep the straight line. No electronics, Just as long as tires are allright,, car not broken, it will keep straight line, and if you go oversteer and take your hands off the steering wheel, it will do a perfect counter steering without any input from the driver. If you only had enough space on the road, the most reliable of controlling oversteer, would be to leave your hands and feet away from all controls.
