The Breakup broke me. Pun not intended. I think Vince Vaught wanted hus his character to be a loveable idiot who doesn't know how to express love properly, when in reality he's an entitled manchild without an ounce of empathy. It's not a movie, it's a cautionary tale for women. The scene where she cries on the bed just ... Men will hurt you in the shittiest ways

100% agree and that's why I think this movie hurts to watch because we see how it's really not that hard for Vince Vaughn to make Jennifer's character happy but he still chooses to not HEAR her. He's selfish and emotionally frustrating.
