@@InsaneViolin Honestly Mr. Kim, you do you! I love your music and versions of certain pieces, your unique technical skills that are insanely crazy, and just your overall interpretation! Keep doing what you’re doing, cuz in every video I watch of you’re playing, I am always amazed. But I do hope you compose your own variation of another Paganini, or even Sarasate, Wieniawski piece since all those are probably way too easy for you 😉

@@InsaneViolin I love your virtuosity and intensity, and your own compositions and transcriptions are just phenomenal. Personnaly, I also would love to hear your interpretation of Wieniawski Austrian anthem - because I have never heard a fully satisfying playing of it. Ricci takes risks, but occasionnaly, it gets dirty. Double-harmonics, left-hand pizz, nothing difficult for you, right ;-) !

If you are a musician, and the majority of your songs are not written by yourself, then you are not a true musician, and just a copycat fraud. The majority of the songs you should be reciting and playing should be your own songs. You should be constantly making your own music. In fact, even if you are a beginner musician, you should start by creating your own music. You will learn how to play the instrument a lot faster this way, instead of trying to copy other musicians and failing.
@ZxAMobile
@ZxAMobile Жыл бұрын
@@ORCINUS I agree with that logic if you cannot write a script and you can only read other people script that you are not a true actor. It’s like saying that you are a real doctor because you can read a script but you have no idea what you’re reading or what you were talking about and you couldn’t possibly teach people about what you know that means you don’t understand the subject. Most musicians even the worlds. Best musicians are just copycat people who repetitively play over and over again they are not talented or masters at what they are doing. They are just good at copying others and pretending to be the same. Roman has proven that he can compose better music than almost any violinist in history. He not only is the most technical musician who has ever lived, but he can also compose the best music ever created. This is what I consider a master. You should never seek to be top 100 you should only seek to be number one if you can reach top five of all time that is acceptable anything else and you are Not to be spoken of.

It's an honor to be alive during the time of the great Roman Kim. This composition is from beyond. Bach and Paganini beautifully married together?! Never heard anything like 0:55~. Section 1:47~ with his trademarked forced harmonics ringing so pure in contrast. Beautiful 3:09~ and 4:00~. Love 5:01~ especially fast passages 5:20~. Transition after 6:50~ is pure genius and beautiful with early introduction before the actual change to 6:54~ where forced harmonics contrast comes in again. Nice rythmic finale 7:20~.

If you ever publish the score, please let me know as I would love to perform this. You have a style which I'm now beginning to recognise. You are brilliant - truly. The microvibrato on the chords at 2:26 pierce me in the best way. I hear Bach and Paganini in this piece - you've applied such a fresh energy to the style and made it yours. I hope to listen to you one day, however, not over the phone. If I were to say this is genius, that would be an appalling understatement, as I would have to upgrade my comment of Mr. Kim's writing and playing to "Absolutely F...ng Genius!" Seriously the very height of virtuosity. Perhaps Mr. Kim is proof of reincarnation, as his playing reflects the spirit and astounding technical brilliance and creativity of Paganini, and perhaps beyond.

@LogioTek
@LogioTek 3 жыл бұрын
I second that. I'd love to hear his Bach's great Chaconne interpretation. He took master-classes with Midori and Kremer so for sure Bach and Chaconne rubbed off on him in a good day. “My most important teachers were Moscow State Conservatory instructor Galina Turchaninova and Viktor Tretyakov,” Kim says. “Turchaninova gave me a wonderful technical basis, and Tretyakov affected me very strongly musically.” (Russian-school) "He studied under Maxim Vengerov and attended master classes with Midori Goto, Lewis Kaplan, Miriam Fried and Gidon Kremer." (World-school) ”Israeli virtuoso Ivry Gitlis describes Kim's mastery of his instrument as "one of the most incredible playing I have heard since I was born!“ In 2016 he won the Ivry Gitlis prize at the Festival Le Printemps du Violon in Paris.” (if TwoSet mind-blown isn't enough validation) It's amazing under how many greats he studied. I guess you simply don't get to this level without this wide level of influences (Roman's influences extend into Rock and Pop too).
