This song is from his first album in 2016 Agust D. You can feel his anger that he had so much of in the earlier days. Now he has mellowed out a fair bit, like he said in his interview with IU, and you can hear it in his music. D-Day is not all about his mental health it's also about analyzing society and his critiques of it, where he is right now and his relationships with other people. He said it's more about his present whereas Agust D and D-2 where more about the past. At this concert he also cried a bunch and this was the last song so he's probably really exausted at this point. And he could hardly speak on the livestream he did after the concert because he had used all of his voice on the last day and said he wouldn't be speaking for 3 days after it.

I hope you'll be going to Suga's movie this month----please use indoor voices, but scream your guts out if you get to a live concert. My voice is gone so it would be quite the favor. The last is from his first mixtape in 2016... knowing that makes a whole lot of difference in peoples perception of current him. The 3 music projects are his healing journey. So D-Day 2023 agust is a healed, mature adult talking about himself and society. He is fully secure in himself and he can also help others. The agust d in the first mixtape is angry and hurt and you can hear it. None of the songs in the d-day project sound like this. This is why i always ask people to just check out full albums and mixtape of bts members. Otherwise a lot of importance context like timelines can be missed while reading lyrics.

"The Last" must be a very emotionally draining song to perform. It is from his first AgustD mix tape from 2016. This performance is from his very last concert in Seoul when he was closing his world tour. The Last is also a closing piece in his whole set list. You can only imagine, after 3 hours on stage, how tired he must have been but also during this very last day of his tour he cried a lot during other songs on that day ( Amygdala, Snooze, Dear my friend). It was an emotional roller coaster. You can see how he was giving his all. He has left his heart on stage that day . A phenomenal experience. The following day he announced his enlistment.

I am a saggy same as Jin, hence the weird crossover but I relate to JK a lot. I believe JK is a suga/jin hybrid because they raised him which is why I am like JK too hahah
