I love this franchise, happy and surprised to see a remake, I got platinum on Romancing Saga 2 and 3 a few years back it was kinda hard but the game has a really cool and different approach, really excited to see how the succession mechanic will be reworked.

i am lol. and i have tried hard mode in the demo , it was really hard. kzinssie can one shot my character in one hit , and it's after the hours of grind on the map lol. loved it

The Seven Heroes are all named after the 7 major train stations on the Tokyo Yamanote Line. They took the name of the stations, spelled them backwards in katakana and then deleted or added letters. In Wagnas case, his name in Japanese is Wagunasu and is based on the Shinigawa station. So their names are pronounced just as they look. They're not based on names from other cultures or anything.

It's not really necessary the battles go insanely fast if you choose your orders fast. It might be the fastest turn base RPG I've ever played to be honest at default speed. The animals are fast and commands are immediate plus you can give orders and choose targets at the same time.

It's not really random though. And it's not that far from other systems, I mean even final fantasy 2 was pretty similar. It was obscure back then because menus had so little information but this version shows everything in an easy to understand way. You can even know when you're about to learn a new ability and which one you need to use to learn a new one

It's pretty much a new game though at this point. Sure it shares the main bone as the original but honestly it's a new game at this point. It's not just a 3D port so much of the gameplay has been heavily modified and all maps are entirely redone. Even the combats are vastly different as in the original you choose orders for your entire team at once where in the remaster you play one character at a time according to the timeline, there's a very big emphasis on exploiting enemy weaknesses and the overdrive mechanic completely changes the strategy in combat and character building.

What do you mean no levels. Literally your damage, hp and bp raises as you fight and you learn new skills. It's exactly the same as levels just with a different name how can you be so narrow minded? If anything the one complaint I could see people having is the combat rank system and the fact that you can miss a lot of stuff and you are sort of meant to. But saying the game has no levels and your stats don't grow is just stupid and not true. In the demo alone you can go from 10 damage per action to 150 in 2 hours of play time just by training your characters and gearing them up.
