@jjjj86919 жыл бұрын

@KeillaSellay9 жыл бұрын
As a Romanian I am glad that we have a very negative image. That means few things: - westerners will be ignorant of who we really are - westerners live in a capitalistic world - capitalism is a dog-eats-dog type of world - so competition is in the menu daily - if you are ignorant, you cannot compete against others, because your hubris and arrogance makes you view them as 'inferior'. That is one aspect why long-term Romania's negative image is actually good for Romanians. Another benefit is that few tourists visit our country. This means cheaper prices for native Romanians. If all of a sudden, 10 millions westerners will start visiting Romania, prices will abruptly rise, putting the natives in a shity situation of not being able to afford to be a tourist in their own country. Yeah and this.... Fuck the West!! Incetati sa va mai inchinati occidentalilor , romanilor!

The funny thing is that Romanians and Hungarians have tons of common DNA and this should be the point to start the discussions. The fight between those people is the fight between brothers. The original Hungarian genes have vanished a long time ago. The only main differences between us are the language, religion and some facts from history. When we will establish a union in this part of Europe with Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Baltic States, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and all those ex-Yugoslavia states, we will impose our views. We will save Europe again as we do in the last 1000 years. And this time we will not be the ones sacrificed by the Western powers. Because in the western part of Europe we'll lay everything else but power. Stay strong my East Europeans brothers, that day is not too far.

Modern Romania was formed in 1859 through a personal union of the Danubian Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia. The new state, officially named Romania since 1866, gained independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1877. At the end of World War I, Transylvania, Bukovina and Bessarabia united with the sovereign Kingdom of Romania. During World War II, Romania was an ally of Nazi Germany against the Soviet Union, fighting side by side with the Wehrmacht until 1944, when it joined the Allied powers and faced occupation by the Red Army forces.

I find it laughable when hungarians claim transylvania, they are like little children. Transylvania was a never pure Romanian, Hungarian or German land, it always existed as multinational land, with a Romanian majority anyway, with the idea of nation state, transylvania became inevitably part of modern romanian state. Plus, Romania is a much stronger state, economically and military, Romania has 1000 tanks and Hungary has 80, and nobody in this damn world cares about "hungarian feelings" and "injustice". Get over it
@catalinmarius39857 жыл бұрын
If only it was indeed "injustice" as they claim. They conquered Transylvania in the 10th century, it was not an integral part of Hungary but a vassal because the land was multinational with a Romanian majority, in the 16th century Hungary ceased to exist, in 1867 Austria-Hungary was formed and Austria gave Transylvania to Hungary, that was the first time when Transylvania was an integral part of Hungary, in 1914 Austria-Hungary started a war that would escalate to a world war, Romania joined the Entente in 1916, the Entente won the war in 1918 and as a ressult the losing nations lost territory, Romania took Transylvania because it had a Romanian majority, I don't see any injustice in it. I see in the comments ignorant claims that Hungarians were the majority. The first population census was made in 1842, ordered by the Austrian Empire and showed a population of 62% Romanians and 23% Hungarians. The 1910 Austro-Hungarian census based on primary used language showed a population of 53.8% Romanians and 31.6% Hungarians, while the 1919 Romanian census showed a population of 57.1% Romanians and 26.5% Hungarians. This is not even controversial and can be checked with a simple google.

@ConorMcgregor3226 жыл бұрын
Actually we do, the Dacians were never wiped out as only 14% of Dacia was conquered by the Romans and the populations mixed. Also, the reason Romanian is closer to Latin then Italian is because the language was literally "cut off" from the rest of the Roman Empire. So you tell me who was first eh? And keep in mind that sometimes you need just a brick to fall and the Wall to collapse. The way i see it, they were buffer zones and buffer zones always play a key role in the situation.
@ultranomad93517 жыл бұрын
Bee Beeswax Well you mentioned it yourself. You couldn't speak our language. Moldova and Transnistria has 3 official languages Moldavian/Romanian , Russian and Ukrainian. BTW if you are Romanian. I'm gonna be straight. You think that Moldova is only a Romanian Eastern block. How is it that Moldavia was first and not Wallachia nor Transylvania? We invented the language. It provinces from Moldavia. Then transferred to Wallachia. When Romania was formed then officially said that they speak Romanian , which is an absolute BS copy. Kinda like saying Americans speak American. Now your Romanian Population in Moldova only takes about 20%. In which Moldovans are 70% Slav according to research . That is why we have last names like. Sirbul,Bosnu,Rusu,Poleitul,Slovakul,Czechul, or Bulgurul. We are mostly Slav unlike Romania . Just cause we speak same language does not mean we have same culture , thoughts or provinces. We have been under the Tsardom of Russia and USSR because Moldova was always brothers with Russia. We fought the ottomans together and joined a great empire. We were actually indirect fake brothers with Wallachians because they were traitors and liars. That's why Stefan cel mare burned Bucharest 2 times. Russians helped us beat the Ottomans until the Balkans. That's why you see a lot of Moldavian and Russian statues of liberation in Serbia. Then we united with you guys (hoping we are good). Wrong everything was awful from 1918 to 1940. Romanian came and stole our good , placed all of it on a railroad then deported all to their part. They also raped , bullied and disrespected Moldovans. My great-grandfather told me how they hit women , stole and laughed their ass off. Then in 1940 we were saved . Yes, I must admit the Soviets did not come nicely with their Gulags. But from 1945 to 1991. The biggest change in Moldova ever happened. Country was developed and smart. And we were 4th richest state in the USSR. Now we are losers nowadays because we have brainwashed pro Romanians or unifiers. and Corrupt animals.

All the Romanian-Hungarian hate comes from Hungarians subjugating romanians from transylvania for over 1000 years.....No big deal
@chris2008308 жыл бұрын
Transylvanians live in Romania, so they must learn romanian language, history, literature and all that because they're ROMANIAN citizens. If they want to learn hungarian, they have the option to learn it as a second motherlanguage. As for putting hungarian flags, don't kid yourself. They can put the flag of Transylvania or of the respective region they're living in, but they're not in Hungary. Also, Romanians beat Hungarians several times throughout history starting with the famous independence war in the 14th century at Posada. We also conquered your capital in 1919 to dispose of your nationalistic leader Bela Kuhn and we had the decency to give you back your territory instead of occupying it, so don't threaten us to war or you'll lose whatever little you have left. P.S. One last thing, relations between Romania and Bulgaria are very close and there's little to no animosity between the two countries, I don't know where you got that idea from.

@thehungarianbro6 жыл бұрын
Hungaty existed when the Ottomans were here. It was called Royal Hungary and we had Transylvania as well. You know Transylvania had Hungarian dukes :))). About the Austrians: Austria didn't manage to occupy us ever. We had our own laws after 1849. It belonged to the Austrian Empire but it was like now Faroese Islands ans Greenland in Danish Kingdom. After 1867 it became Austro-Hungary then the two countries had equal laws and Hungary had Transylvania always even when it was the part of Austria. You can't deny it. Anyways Hungary was a Kingdom within Austria so it did exist.
@Kalimdor199Menegroth4 жыл бұрын
@@thehungarianbro It didn't. Royal Hungary was part of Austria, Transylvania was a separate principality. Hungary did not have Transylvania after 1526, except maybe in name. And not even that, since it ceased to exist as a political entity. Now Transylvania is Romania, united with it through a plebiscite in 1918, recognized by the international community.

i am totally impartial to the nationalism conflict amongst the Romanians then Hungarians Saxons and so therefore i m only in it for the facts a d lnowing European and World History at a level where i cam safely teach it in its great detail verbatim. All i can say by knowing that regions back to a thousand years history and its a whole lot more to it than just ww2 having Romania victorious fair and square. In fact the only reason that ended up in Romania as you see it now is because first towards the end of ww2 when the red army really took off and begun to just hail westward pushing the Germans till berlin at that moment Romania was believe it or not om the Axis s side but when the red army arrived into the region Romania jumped ships sorta soeak and quickly switched sides fighting for the Russians because they knew what was good for them and Mother Russia was pissed off at the Dritte Reich but Hungary being Axis power found not only the Russians coming but niw Romania having had just switched sides to get overwhelmed and yes got quickly subdued and sticking by the Germans till the bitter end also giving up the most Jews to Germany was the second and biggest downfall as far as why the fate of Transylvania is what it is now. Remembet Transylvania isn t just between Romanians abd Hungarians. There were lots of Ethnic Germans or Saxons that also occupied the more rather southern part of Transylvania like Bisterc and so very very diverse and not as simple of history as most bigger nations because the more of ethnic groups involved the more compkex.

The most stupid thing in the world - Conflicts between nations. Whoever thinks he's part of a country or culture is mistaken. What's culture? In essence, culture is represented by the actions of the people who lived before your birth. After your coming in this world you embrace the things established by the generations before you. I'm not saying that you should ignore everything. But we learn from our family and community who are the ones we need to hate and who are the ones we need to tolerate. Why, why, why? Because of the past? We are in the present! Let's think with our own rationality, not based on the facts brought to us by the people around us. Individuals have and make their own culture. It's the collective culture that conducts to differences between people of different nations. Thereby you get conflicts and people killed and a long history of hatred between the combatant nations after that. And still, while we are young, we are not learning anything from the history. But what we do? We follow the model of our ancestors and families. We are manipulated by them and the media day after day. When will the human race think?
