I went to Rome and I LOVED the Trajan Column! Unfortunately we can't see if from very close to admire the details but it's really impressive. I think it's the only monument made by Romans after winning a war! Long love the Dacians!!

If Trajan's fabulous Column in Rome depicts some defeated Dacians, the Triumphal Arch of Galerius in Thessaloniki (Greece) is a symbol of victory. Although few Romanians know about the existence and importance of this monument, whoever wants to visit it will have something to admire, even if they are not a great patriot or a fine connoisseur in the field. There are numerous bas-reliefs with war scenes, with Dacians from the north and south of the Danube, and with a little attention you can also see the Dacian flags, the famous wolf-headed dragon. Nearby, there is the Rotunda Church, built even in the time of Galerius, it is a hundred meters away, it was intended to be a mausoleum dedicated to Caesar, a place of eternity, which did not happen in the end. And a few hundred meters towards the White Tower are the ruins of Galerius' palace, right on the boulevard, reminding of the former glory of the proud Dacians.

Supeer Jules!! I like how your job in vídeos are getting better so fast, and there's still so many things about this topic, part two is coming right?!! perhaps influences of dacia in modern Romania could be interesting to address, such as words, folk customs, foods, holidays etc. *off: a video about romanian mysterious/haunted locals could be so interesting too haha Pupici 🌻🌾

Awwwh, that's such a nice thing to hear! I am happy that the content is getting better every time! I think it's the practice 🥰 But yes! There are sooo many things yo talk about the Dacians and the Romanian history. It's such a rich theme with many mysteries and researches to do. I love it! Now, a video about Romanian mysterious places would be really interesting! I should even go there and investigate 🔎! Hahahaha Thank you SO MUCH for your comment and support! I really appreciate! Pupiciii🥰

The fact that dacians fought the romans and the romans had to actually get their best warriors to finally defeat them is so cool, Proud of my ancestors❤

I just like the wolf symbol if it was on the flag. I feel like the flag is a bit empty and could have an artistic symbol like that. But, other than that, I'm not a fan of the whole ..Dacians were the center of the galaxy, they gave the Latin language to the Roman Empire, they were the ethnic rulers of all possible civilizations or whatever nonsense the "Dacopaths" invent.. The only conspiracy I find support of is the fact that the Dacians and Thracians are minimized / ignored as much as possible by the Greeks/Romans. For example Macedonia had a big Thracian influence or they were a mix of Thracians and Greeks, but the Greek nationalist don't want to admit that.

I LOVE this wolf as well! It is so beautiful and well drawn, I would love if it would be represented in the Romanian flag! The Dacians story is beautiful, but there are indeed some theories that do not make sense. Once someone told me that the Dacians were actually who created Rome... And, I mean, there isn't any evidence of that - scientifically speaking. I feel like the Dacians have such a full and rich history that there is no need to add random info there. I agree with you that the Dacians and Thracians are minimized and they are less known than they deserve. There are so many things to study and to be said, that it is sad that so many people never heard of them... Anyway, thank you for your comment! Hope to see you here again!

Dacii au ajuns pana in UK. La Newcastle Upon Tyne exista in muzeu inscriptii dacice. Asa ca Romani, fiti mandrii!Ca eu sunt!❤

Cool, your video about Dacians is beautiful, just a few observations if you allow 4:20 "The Dacian kingdom was incorporated in the roman empire" is an exaggerated myth of mainstream history. In reality the romans managed to hardly conquer after 150 years of hard fights only - 14% of Dacia territory - and for a very short period of 164 years (some say 150 years) and were very soon kicked out of Dacia forever, unlike western Europe territories, where they stayed for 3-400 years. So remember, the romans NEVER conquered Dacia, only a small part of it 4:55 and 5:22 The romans din NOT bring their language to Dacia, the dacian/romanian language was always there, and the romans TOOK the dacian language and made Latin from it. I know it sounds surprising, but check what Micheál Ledwith, the consilier of Pope Ioan Paul II says about Romanian language versus Latin language. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5enl6RmrJJ6aZY 5:22 Is totally incorrect, the Dacians never learned their language from the romans, quite the opposite, the romans learned latin from the Dacians, yes it sounds very surprising, but latin comes from the old mother language of Dacia The rest of the video is very interesting, congratulations 😘

We, Romanians are the DIRECT DESCENDANTS OF DACIANS. The Romanian language was not formed by the romanisation of Dacia during the Roman empire occupation. This is a false theory which was debunked many times. The romans conquered only one third of the Dacia and they only stayed here for 165 years. Besides, the Roman ocupation consisted of soldiers that were brought from all corners of the roman empire, soldiers who probably did not speak much latin anyway. Also imposing the Latin language was not the policy of the Roman empire, they were only interested in stealing Dacia's natural resources, like gold, wool, etc and in getting men for their imperial army, like everywhere else in the Roman empire. Also the Roman empire occupied other territories for far longer than 165 years that they occupied one third of Dacia and these territories did not start speaking a romance language (examples: Britain, the north of Africa, etc.). Another argument from official history claims that romans married dacian women and so the Romanian nation was formed and the roman language imposed. Seriously, let's think a bit about that: what were the dacian men doing in this time? Also if some romans married dacian women what language do you think would theirs kids learned? The fathers' language, who were probably most of the time away from home with work, or mothers' language (dacian), who were staying home an growing the kids? The truth is that the Dacian language was already a romance language, a sister language of latin and other romance languages and that had nothing to do with the Romans. Dacians and Romans understood each other without having to learn each others language. The Romanian language is the direct successor of the Dacian language. Also, some of what is considered slavic influence on the Romanian language are actually words that both Romanian language and the slavic languages inherited from the ancient Indo-European language. Romanian, Italian and the other "romance" languages, including latin, all derived from the same common old language, and already many experts saw this. I recommend for this watching many of the videos of Daniel Roxin (like kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4XElnlpp5iVas0 - "Originea Geto-Dacică a limbii române. Dovezile! (Teoria falsă a romanizării dacilor, Ep 5)") or from foreign language experts like Carme Huertas (kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2eVnGefdrWtoK8 - "NU VENIM DIN LATINĂ. Carme Huertas le vorbește românilor") or from a former advisor to Pope John Paul II, Miceal Ledwith, who had access to hundreds of kilometres of non-public archives of Vatican (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mqbbnJJ7f6aqpZI - "Miceal Ledwith: Nu limba română este o limbă latină, ci limba latină este o limbă românească", or kzbin.info/www/bejne/f3TYfJKvlM19o5Y - "Originile limbii Române!") Daniel Roxin has extensive documentaries about the false theory of romanisation of Dacia, documentaries in which he invited experts to talk (language experts, historians, etc) and he also covers in some of his documentaries the reasons why this theory of romanisation was imposed against the truth (see for example kzbin.info/www/bejne/pprLhZqibt2fpNk - "„Moartea” dacilor, „Învierea” lui Traian și Școala Ardeleană (Teoria falsă a romanizării, Ep.4)").

Eres muy linda y muy inteligente, others happy traditions are Martisor, Dragobete, Baba Dochia etc, In one of your previous video's you debate and dispute about Romanian hospitality compared to brazilian, its all true , seeing that you know enough well about romanian history and culture, you noticed and underlined, our obstacles since ancient periond time until modern days to obtain what we have today, i think here's the difference, I confess I knoww a bit of Brazil history. At the end I am happy to see people from other countries speaking Romanian , be integrated in our culture and feeling happy to live in Romania, God bless you Julia
