However, Tatiana was much more interested in Prince Carol, she liked him, and she concidered marrying him, but, WW1 put an end to any marridge proposals. Tatiana, Olga and their family's story is very sad, they're lives were brutally cut short in a basement in Jekaterinburg by Bolshevik soldiers most likely operating under orders given from the Bolshevik leader Vladimir Lenin (there is a document sent from the Jekaterinburg Bolsheviks to Moscow (Lenin's headquarters) that suggests that the Jekaterinburg Bolsheviks asked Lenin if they could murder the Romanovs (they needed confirmation from Lenin on the order). Lenin was a marxist monster, so it is totally within his character to order an entire family to be murdered, Lenin's Bolshevik regime murdered 200 000 people from 1917 - 1922 (Lenin's rule). Lenin was evil, and the man that came to power in Russia after Lenin (Stalin) was even worse than Lenin, Stalin is one of, if not the most evil man that has ever lived, yes, even worse than Hitler, because Stalin murdered more people than Hitler. Marxist socialism is an awful ideaology, everyone should reject such a foul ideolgy, and it should be tought in schools about the horrors of the Marxist Socialist monsters like Stalin, Mao Zedong, Lenin and Pol Pot. A tragic story. Nicholas believed that he could still be the autocratic tsar like his father was. But by 1905, that day was soon to be over. By not giving power to the Duma, he doomed his reign. And by taking control of the Russian army in World War I, he made himself directly responsible for it's failures in battle. Alexandra was equally to blame. Her stiff necked autocratic attitude and trust in a scoundrel like Rasputin further eroded the monarchy. Then came the first revolution under Kerensky and the inevitable abdication of Nicholas. Then came the second revolution under monster murderer Lenin, and the imperial family was doomed.

I can see why they thought executing Nicholas was necessary as he was seen as the cause of so many of Russias problems . I can kind of see why they thought Alexandra had to go because she ruled in place of Nicholas frequently and let Rasputin basically take over. And as much as I hate to admit it I can see why they thought Alexi had to go because he was the heir. If they had shipped him and his mom and sisters back to England she could have plotted and schemed to try to get him back on the throne. But there was zero justification for killing the girls they couldn't even rule. The argument that they would be a rallying point for royalist is flimsy at best. Still even if I can see why they did what they did I still think they were nothing but cowardly barbaric murderers and their actions were cruel and inhumane.

I do not know about Yurovsky, but in Lenin's case, Lenin's older brother Alexander was an anarchist who was captured and executed. I think Lenin made up his mind to get revenge and do away with Nicholas if he ever got the chance. And that is exactly what he did. The thing I so disliked about the revolutionaries was that they had NO plans for establishing a government and bettering the country. They just fomented chaos which is what any revolutionary does. Nicholas was not a very effective tsar; he did not have the proper training, and did not know how to delegate duties. He should never have gone to the front during WW1 but rather relied on his best officers; but instead Alix ran things at home and she kept firing officials and replacing them with even more inept ones, often on the advice of Rasputin. Nicholas and Alix had the usual anti-Semitic prejudices of their class and time. My husband's family had to get out of Ukraine (then a part of Russia) in 1905 because pogroms by tsarist soldiers were getting very rough, just like in Fiddler on the Roof. It's good they left because in 1942 the SS Nazi death squads rounded up any Jews still in the town, took them to a spot in the woods and shot them all. A mass grave is still there today surrounded by a metal fence. And then Chernobyl happened in the same province, and now the war between Ukraine and Russia. Never ending horror in that part of Europe. We are so lucky to live in the USA although we have excessive gun violence we need to get a handle on. Still, we have it very good.

I'm truly speechless seeing this movie. The whole story is terrible. This should never happen. The scene of the murder of the entire Romanov Family is similar to most of the executions from the time of the revolution. Our people in Katyn and other places in Russia were murdered in a similar way, but with a shot in the back of the head or neck. The revolutionaries have slaughtered so many Russians and People from other parts of Eastern Europe that was part of the great Russia and its empire. They did this either by starving people to death or by hanging them or shooting on the back in a head. Romanov were such a beautifull Familly. I cannot belive that this took ever place. Every Country would be proud to have such a Family as Romanov Family as a Leader in their Country or their Governemnt's, everyone but ofcourse not revolutionist's like Lenin's comunists and anarchists. They have done such a demadge to Russia that nothing can ever repay and repair this demadge ever. They demolished the Church of the Christs and ripped the gold from that Church and from entire Russia taking over the rooling in governing. Who else in the history of the World has done such a disgracing thing? Barbarians.

In Katyn they simply shot. And the king was tortured, mocked, tortured for a long time and fun for the murderers. The king turned gray in five minutes. Such storie are circulating Russia.

The most painful thing about this story is the murder of Maria, the most beautiful of the lot. And of the animal(s) (a dog? Or two?).

ive actually never felt sorry for them-parents anyway, there love was unhealthy and maybe if they we're doing there job of tsar properly instead of writing multiple letters to each other they might not have have that ending, his grandfather was killed and his dad had many attempts so they should have know the people we'nt happy, they also should have had the girls married off at there age and brought up knowing they would get married and probebly move country,
@rmp74002 жыл бұрын
It is true that they made many mistakes - but PLEASE remember that they knew they were not prepared to reign. The love of the Tsar evidently was more serious than that of his wife, for if she loved him wisely, she would not have trusted Rasputin above her husband's counsels. Her greatest error was to empower Rasputin because of her distress about her suffering son: it blinded her to all the suffering of the people of Russia. The Year made a mistake of his own, in admiring the Protestant Prussian Kaiser.... The fact that fallible mortal humans often make such serious mistakes compelled merciful responses of Holy God Himself - and He does command our imitation of His virtues.

What I learned from French and Russia history : leader should not let people hungry.Hungry people are dangerous. Don't make lavish party when people starving. Don't show richness in front of poor people.
@lukasmiller4863 ай бұрын
1. When there’s a war, of course there will be a poverty problem because the price of food and other goods naturally go up. 2. It’s not okay to go on a killing rampage either just because you are envious or because of your own personal misfortune. 3. The poor are always with us. You can help them if your heart is moved upon, but the problem will always remain. It is just the price of living in a broken world.

Who was Anna Rebekka Stephan and why do her descendants 4 generations later have DNA that shows them as very close cousins to Tsar Nicholas II's Family? BTW one of Anna's descendants who's name is Michael showed up at Saint Peter and Paul's Church in Saint Petersburg Ru on the very day (Sept 21 2017 Yom Teruah) Monk Abel 200+ years earlier said the one who would become Russia's last Tsar "who would be named Michael" would show up.

Yes, Tsar Nicholas II reign wasn’t the best but so many problema piled up plus the war that things got out of control. After reading so much about them, Revolution would take place no matter what. Maybe if he would have been more in touch with the situation he could have safe himself and his family by fleeing before it was too late.
