Bless those who persecute you and “Vengeance is mine, I will repay.” Is what stood out for me. I sometimes forget who is in charge of judgment and it definitely is not me. Thank you for your teaching today and everyday 🙏🏻

Well vengefulness is my issue. I had a family member steal everything belonging to my mom. She left my mom with a 500,000 bill to pay and barely any goods to sell to repay the debt. I find myself wishing she feels the hurt my mom is suffering now but God at 12:00am sitting in my backyard with this old school radio allows me to hear Romans 12. Now the radio had a lot of static before Romans came on but I tell you no lie when Romans was playing it was crystal clear. It gave me chills that God was telling me to chill out leave room for Him to act. I know God has my back no doubt about that it’s just that I find myself wanting justice now. So that’s where I’m at. I am praying that God strengthens me in this part of my life. Help me to grow. I know He has given me everything I need to overcome. I just need to stop freaking out and depend on Him to correct my mindset. Prayers for that and some type of miracle for my mom to be able to pay off this bill is what I’m asking God for. I don’t know how but I know God has got a plan.

This is powerful scripture and exactly what I need this morning. It is June 2020 and I am so angry and sad at what is happening in our country. I have been losing hope and being taken over by anger. This helps me to have faith and hope and know God is always with me and how I need to believe and behave. Thanks you BT.

In forming a relationship with God, try to think of it as an intimate relationship....... like a child to his or her parent. But use faith to decide in what ways you want your relationship with God to grow. It's a personal relationship, so no one except God knows how that relationship will grow. Look to Romans, chapter 14, verses 22 and 23, to get a good idea of this. And above all, have faith, my friend...... God bless you in all you do. Peace and Love be with you. Tim

I always loved the message of overcoming evil with good. I never enjoyed that innate human feeling of fighting fire with fire or getting back at someone. Some may want to do it so that the other would feel the same way they felt and empathize. Some may want to feel the satisfaction of being the one on top in the end or finally receiving the longer end of the stick within the dynamic between them and someone who wrong them too many times for too long. I think both, though understandable, are wrong reasons and ultimately doing good onto those that hurt you is the right choice. Thanks once again for going over these readings. God Bless 🙏🏽💕

Hi BT, thanks for this video. I really have been enjoying watching these videos and learning about what Paul wanted early church members to do , what stuck out to me quite a bit was Romans 12:12, because Ive been struggling with my hands they hurt a alot mainly my wrist and now my fingers .Sometimes I feel down right hopeless because it’s been happening for a month has been quite exhausting. Romans totally spoke to me because it says that you should rejoice in hope and endure in suffering and persist in prayer. That really just spoke to me I really appreciate this and I’m really grateful for what you guys doing. Thank you.

I chanced on your video while looking for some resources on Romans 12 as I will be leading a bible study session this weekend. I find your video very useful and the teaching easy to digest. When I first read Romans 12, I did think there were so many rules and the bar was set too high but what you said, about focusing on a few issues first, puts things in a better perspective. Good work!

This chapter felt as thought Paul had been standing and presenting the previous info, and he comes to a point for Chapter 12 and my mind’s eye sees him sitting down and saying, “Let me break this down for you.” I understand that it’s a letter, but this is what I see as I read it. I love the start of “Therefore.” It almost says, I know everything else I said might have twisted you into a pretzel, but here it is in some workable terms. And what workable terms! There are several gems worth remembering or being able to recall in this chapter. Thanks for all you do Branch Together

This is a very powerful chapter, and not only a great one for Easter time, but a great one for daily reflection. Especially for those of us, like myself, who are struggling in some areas of our faith. I like your advice to "not become overwhelmed", but to instead "keep it simple". By looking toward the things that stand out to us, in that way we let God speak to us. Thank you for your message of hope and God bless you. Peace and Love be with you, brother.....

Is "heaping burning coals on your enemies head" a good thing for them or not?
@aprilbrown47234 жыл бұрын
I think it is because this experience allows them to feel the pain of hurting others, and allows them to change or at least encourage it.

Coals, ash, refer to penance. Before looking it up, my guess is it means by treating your enemies well you teach them a lesson. It’s metaphorical.

Great video and thanks for sharing! I have a question....I don’t fully understand the second half of verse 2. How do you test the will of God???
@jasmyntailor38102 жыл бұрын
My translation says, “and do not be conformed to this world; but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” I know you commented this a year ago, but it just means you will be able to discern the will of God as you live. And you prove what His will is by living according to His Word and way. You’re able to show the world that God’s way is good and acceptable and perfect. So when others say they are living a Godly life, and they aren’t, you will know the difference because you truly live for Him. And you can pray that they turn to Him. I hope this helps!❤️
