God is so funny. I started this series on a random day in January, listened to a few episodes some days, none on others, and here I am on Good Friday 2024 during my first Holy Week as a Christian, hearing the Good Friday episode. Thank you for making this videos, and for being instrumental in my journey that led me to join the faith. I will be getting baptized in a few weeks, and y’all were a part of that. Thank you.

Sometimes even differences of church denominations causes Christians to be apart from each other. And this chapter is a great reminder for all. And i am thinking that a mature Christian is someone who always seek peace to connect and offer love always.

I bind all to give an account to God almighty about one's life and every knee to bow and confess Jesus Christ is Lord, in accordance with romans 14:11-12, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acquintances, opponents and the body of Christ, while loosening myself of every unequal yoke and common share with those refusing to give an account of one's life to God almighty and those not acknowledging Jesus Christ is Lord, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah!

Great chapter about little church disputes. Let's be reminded that the Holy Spirit is there to comfort, teach, but also convict us. When we repent with a complete surrender, the Holy Spirit writes the Law in our hearts and mind and convicts us to follow God's Will and all that He commanded. We as a church may have a bunch of small disputes, but remember that God's Law is not a small dispute and is not mentioned in this chapter. God cannot break His own character to fit our own feelings and private interpretations of His Word. I believe what the author of Romans is saying is that the Holy Spirit will help us make the right decisions based on what is right through scripture, not our own feelings and interpretation....meaning, there is still a right way to do things, but it must be from one's own confidence. The author speaks against made-man traditions and ordinances and vain disputes. But the Word of God stands forever. (Matthew 22.37-40) (Hebrews 10:16-17) (Jeremiah 31:33) (Ezekiel 36:26-27) (1John 5:1-5)

It scares me when it says “we will all give an account of ourselves to God” is that okay
@ValentinaZav3 жыл бұрын
It’s okay the fear of God is wisdom ! But that fear is a good fear. don’t let the thought eat you up either negatively. God loves us so much but hates sin. But the lord is so merciful to have come down and die for our sins. So you can know if you have repented and ask forgiveness of your sins , have accepted Jesus Christ as your savior by faith and are living out that faith , you are saved. We are a new creature in Christ. The old man is dead, you are a new creation now :) You are granted everlasting life which is the greatest love. Jesus laying down his life for us🥺

If we find ourselves distancing from believers of another denomination due to secondary and tertiary differences then we have to take a long look in the mirror and ask if we truly are following Christ.
@jennagarrison6 жыл бұрын
What do you think verse 22 means?
@DarrenLeBlancx6 жыл бұрын
Jenna Garrison first thought is that we are talking about the context of eating as a stumbling block. The NLT nails it: "You may believe there’s nothing wrong with what you are doing, but keep it between yourself and God. Blessed are those who don’t feel guilty for doing something they have decided is right"
@DarrenLeBlancx6 жыл бұрын
NET and ESV are both very clunky with it.
@brianprovorse71033 жыл бұрын
@@DarrenLeBlancx I really struggle with understanding the Bible, but I think it is kind if the opposite about where it says, "Don't cause your brother to stumble" in verse 13. To me, it is almost like saying that just because my brother thinks what I am eating is wrong, I should do what he does. I could be totally off.
